Today was a maintenance day tiding up roses at the driveway watering plants and working around the yard. The kids swam, rode bikes, played and drove me nuts.
I am going to try to crochet free-form and see how it turns out. Well I mustn't be long we are leaving at 5am to head to Prince George it is 8 hours up and 8 hours home. So have a good night.

Cold, Cold very, very cold and my two oldest children are camping way up on phase three. It is the end of June and it is miserable of course it does not help that when I get a chill there is no warming me up.
I am extremely tired we have had a lot of children visiting and they have been very good just none of them need any sleep I am needing sleep. I know for a fact I will not sleep tonight for worrying about the campers or my other son still in Kamloops at 9:18pm at night he is at a sleep over too. Other than children making me worried nothing is knew just taking the days one day at a time.

Well I am off to get ready for bed I am trying to crochet a flower I never get anything right that I try with knitting or crocheting it is a little disheartening but maybe one day it will click.

Rock

Here is a picture of my lovely rock

I love rocks.

These pictures do not show how big the rocks are. I can sit cross legged on the rock with lots of room to left over.

My youngest son wanted to sleep out in the tent with his older brother and sisters so we said "fine" I had not even got my tea finished and he was in and fell asleep on the living room floor.

Here we are moving our rock the picture just does not do it justice. Out in the bush we had to lift it from the bank over to the truck and up into the back of the pick up.

Last night we had a wonderful magnificent rain however the down side to this rain is the hay we are to buy is down and was getting bailed today! I am not sure if they also received rain but they are just up the road a few miles so probably. Remember the scenic route ...
Our house is all quiet everyone is sleeping I have taken the little kids to the school bus walked out through the garden and admired my big rock which my youngest son told me this morning I could sit on it and meditate :) Last night we had our six children, two other 14 year old girls for a sleep over and two neighbor boys over till midnight for a movie. I kept waking up all night it seemed, so much for going to bed early and it was still 10 pm which is early lately. Well must run to do chores have a good day.

Felting

This is some of the felting I have been doing it is different but fun and one is still working with wool. It is not as portable as knitting or crocheting but you could take it camping or to a friends house or hotel etc.

My daughter was scared that we would run into a bear. I was cold as usual I had on two sweaters and my husband's coat. Will summer ever come? I love these photo's of my oldest son and his dog.

We had a nice weekend busy one but good. We drove up to the dam to look around and on the way home we found an amazing rock. Well actually I was the only one who thought it was amazing and we brought it home it is big heavy and we are quite amazing to be able to lift it. I will post a photo tomorrow. I have been working on my pond and guess what the pump has quit again. The pumps I use are expensive and they do not seem to last very long so my husband is going to take another look at it soon. He may look at tomorrow since HE WON'T BE WORKING AGAIN if this keeps up we will lose our ass one day rained out, too muddy, moving, no permits Ahhhhhh. we have been off for nearly three months.
Just four more days until my little kids are done school and I can't wait. It will be nice not to have to run let them stay up late not try to make 7 lunches a night I love summer holidays.
I must go I am tired and I still have children playing outside hide and seek 3 of mine and 4 visitors.

Our trip Sunday to the dam it is always a lot of fun.

Work being done in the Front Yard
Posted by Picasa
Isn't it funny how one project leads to another well now I started on the front yard now the pond is getting it. I sometimes wish I could leave things alone but no not my nature. I have also come to the conclusion things will never slow down are life is in full speed ahead always things coming and going so we need to figure out how to take something in the day and enjoy the moment so we do take time to smell the roses, enjoy the sun if it ever gets here. So with that in mind I must run to do chores pick up my kids and I will post more later with photo's. Have a great weekend.

Happy Summer Solstice... happy Aboriginal day... What are your plans to celebrate?
We are having a wiener roast and Marshmallow in the front yard for supper and maybe a nice after supper treat. I might even take time out to spin tonight to make it special. However that all would be good if I wasn't so tired late to be 11:30pm then wide awake at 2am and then a phone call at 5:40am are we missing a horse, donkey and a very miserable mule so it took us 45minutes to get them in and it is so good that horrible mule found his way home. Our mule is very cute but no one can work with him he is bad... if you ever read of a mule up in the wild don't phone me:) I will admit to nothing.
Our front yard is coming along I would like to do some cement work today in between the cement slabs add some shells, rocks to mosaic it up should be fun if I get the time and no more interruptions. I will post photo's later of our celebrations have a wonderful day enjoy the longest day of the year.

Busy day today my older kids started their job for the next 5 days of farm sitting so there is a lot of coming and going. My middle daughter finished her exams today's and that is good. My middle son is finished school now because of his hives he won't be going back so we went to collect his stuff. This leaves the youngest two they are in school until next Thursday it will be hard for them to focus and stay in school. In between running today I have been working in the front yard it is coming along I hope the work holds up only time will tell. I have been working on my felting project in the evenings it is fun but I find it is not something to take along and work on to many little pieces of fibre.
I am joining a 201o Olympic wool challenge I have received my wool and I am ready to craft it is quite exciting. I will talk to you all soon it is amazing how fast the morning arrives.

My middle son came home yesterday with this...

My middle son came home with hives or something today hot rounded welches so we went into to town tonight to try to find some medicine. We have no idea why or what they really are he is suppose to go swimming tomorrow with his school but if they are not gone by the morning he will have to stay home.
I went today to finish up the paper work for my goats so it will be good to get that done and sent away. Also my husband could not go to work today rained out again... hell it is going to be a long summer of no work. So since my husband was not working he came with me to watch our younger son win award at his school.
Last night I made three squares of my felting it is quite fun I stayed up till midnight trying it out. I must run have a good night
