This is my town.
Today I took Hunter the hound dog for a walk. He is so funny. I really wish I could film him he really is hilarious. Then this afternoon I had parent teacher interviews for my two youngest children. Sam I am is good. I was told he is quiet. Hmmmm not too sure that is right. Miss Hyacinth is doing okay. I think her french teacher is just touching base.
Now tomorrow is leaving home at five thirty am. Oh my gosh I am glad you can not read my mind right now. What is wrong with these coaches now a days. Somewhere school has to be a priority. They are even making tournaments on school days now. Just in case I forget I truly hate rep hockey.
Well I need to go pack my bag so I can entertain myself for a couple of hours while I wait in the truck.

Beautiful Fall
The Fall season can be so pretty. I am quite happy I live in a part of a country with seasons. Today was gray very, very gray but not very cold.
We went for a walk to the top of our property and found a huge egget (not too sure on how to spell that). We were quite excited about it.
I have a full week ahead of school meetings, meeting teachers, hockey, we have tournaments, hockey games, fund raisers, dances, trick or treating and six thirty am practices. I know I should not wish my life away but I will be happy when this weeks is over. I hate booked weeks.
Well I am off to try to get some kids to bed. Have a wonderful night and enjoy these last fall days.

Today we had a beautiful trip to Princeton. It started with a little rain but when we ended up over in Princeton the first half of the day was lovely. Sam had a hockey game there that his team won. We had a little drive around and took some great scenery pictures.
I watched the first half of the game while Sam played then the second half I waited in the truck reading and talking to my kids.
Last night was our first night with the sheep in the field. We left our Llama, Harry out with them he was so sad to be left out there with out his goats. At one in the morning Harry started with his warning signal so I found it hard to sleep after that. I was worrying about the sheep all night.

Oh my goodness I am absolutely knackered. I am so going to bed early. I have worked all day outside. Chores, firewood, cleaning, burning, helping boys with a fence, finding wire... and you know it still looks a mess. It always takes so long to clean up, I wonder if I will ever win.
I have decided to close in the pond. This summer I was so sick of dealing with the snakes. I have to do it now when I am going into winter. I really love the pond and we have had it for ages but it is time.
Well I must run and hope bed time comes soon. Have a wonderful night.

Savannah and Hunter. Here they look like they are having a cuddle but he was so being so bad chasing goats, rolling in things and just not listening. As cute as he is very bad.
Today I went to a meeting at the local college with my daughter about taking courses. It was a lovely building, I really wish I could have had a tour. Then we came home and I did some chores. It is quite exciting my dad's chickens are new and have finally started to lay eggs. I think he found eleven today.
Our weather was quite nice today but I keep hearing that we are in for one of the worst cold, piles of snow in fifty years. It will be interesting to see what happens. I do not always believe it. This year was to be one of the worst driest fire burning summers. Well we ended up with quite a bit of rain.

Miss Lulu trying to behave herself.
Today we walked 5km then we added a walk up to the flag pole. It was a lot of fun but not very relaxing. At the end of the walk we visited in the park and froze. I caught a chill so bad my lips turned completely blue. It took the whole way home with the heat cranked to warm myself up. Tonight my scientist came home from Bamfield and he had a wonderful time. I am so happy for him. There was only five boys so they got to stay in a cabin with the male teacher while twenty one girls stayed in a larger dorm. He rode in a boat on the ocean, took a ferry. Ahhh I am so happy he is home.

A good weekend. My daughter is home. My youngest son came second in his tournament. My oldest daughter visited. My youngest daughter kept me company. My oldest son survived his hockey weekend and he finally took a great walk along the beach. My middle son phoned and he saw a whale, seal and Momma bear and two cubs.
I took two walks on the top of our property to enjoy the fall colours and the mid afternoon sunshine. Our nights are cold very, very cold. Fireplace has been burning all weekend plus I bought two new heaters that I thought I would try.

Another busy day in our life. We woke up at two am to get ready to head down to the Vancouver airport to pick up our daughter. We never seem to travel at a decent hour. We went straight down and turned around and came straight home. Then my husband switched vehicles and left with my youngest son to Vernon for a hockey tournament. My middle son is down at Bamfield on a biology trip. The school offers a wonderful trip of a real hands on field trip. Today my son phoned and I could hardly hear him but what I did make out was he saw a Mom bear and two or three cubs. He also saw a whale and a seal. How wonderful what an amazing day for the kids.
I find it a bit hard to type as I am listening to my oldest sons hockey game.

If only our whole world could come together and work as one. What an amazing world we would be. Watching this is like being on an emotional roller coaster it kind of wares/wheres... (Not sure on that spelling) one out.

Happy Thanksgiving
Have a wonderful long weekend. Enjoy your time visiting, having quiet moments and being Thankful.
Us here it is one crazy weekend. We have so much to fit in so much traveling, hockey and general chores. I had a bit of a hard time yesterday dealing with our schedule. And, I really should learn it all works out we always manage to do it all. I truly miss the days when my kids were young it was just playing, laughing no teachers, school or coaches to have to share my kids with. I hate to share my kids!!
So tonight we have our dinner it will be late but oh so good. I hope to fit some picture taking in and maybe even find time to take a walk. We do however have a full hockey day.
Thinking of you all Make wonderful memories.

Beautiful Fall day.
Our days have been so nice today the wind was so warm. However our mornings have started with frost each day. It will be hard to believe there will snow soon. Snow and Long Johns just does not sound like fun. I have been enjoying my visit with my son, he has come home for a few days.
This weekend we have a extra day to enjoy Thanksgiving. It really would be wonderful if we did not have to have hockey then we could do so much fun stuff.
I am finding writing my blog at night is not too good. I am too tired to think and I find it is just too much to put into words. I think I am going to have to start again by writing in the morning.

What a fun day. I tried Skype with Tanisha today twice. That was fun. We had set it up before she left but never tried it until today. A busy day here I started last night and then worked up until lunch time on our books. My husband spent the day working on the logging truck and two trips to Kamloops. He is still not home but should be soon. Then hopefully some time tomorrow he will find wood. His roads have a road block on them so he can not haul. Someone must pissed they are not getting their cut. I am so passe all that.
Our Thanksgiving weekend is coming up so I think we will have a turkey dinner. My Mom is away in Maui with Tanisha and my Dad is going away to visit my sister and her family. And, for us we will try to squeeze a nice dinner in around hockey.

This is what happens on Sunflower Farm in the fall. The darn squirrels are filling the Alpaca's water trough with pine cones. Every single day he fills this trough and I have to come along and tip it out. The pine needles have been falling and that in turns means raking piles and piles of raking.
The days have been beautiful and the nights quite cool. The bears have been out in full force so not too much sleep around here.
I so can not believe it is Thanksgiving already next week. The time is flying by.

What an amazing wonderful morning we had today. In the last twelve hours we have seen a bobcat, a coyote and two bears. So this morning it was out to count sheep and goats. It is that time of year for us. I really wish they would move on. We still have one bear in our back yard he is the cutest thing grunting away. Everything else has left so far. However we have our eyes looking all over for the ole Momma bears and we know she is not too far away,
