Happy Summer Solstice... happy Aboriginal day... What are your plans to celebrate?
We are having a wiener roast and Marshmallow in the front yard for supper and maybe a nice after supper treat. I might even take time out to spin tonight to make it special. However that all would be good if I wasn't so tired late to be 11:30pm then wide awake at 2am and then a phone call at 5:40am are we missing a horse, donkey and a very miserable mule so it took us 45minutes to get them in and it is so good that horrible mule found his way home. Our mule is very cute but no one can work with him he is bad... if you ever read of a mule up in the wild don't phone me:) I will admit to nothing.
Our front yard is coming along I would like to do some cement work today in between the cement slabs add some shells, rocks to mosaic it up should be fun if I get the time and no more interruptions. I will post photo's later of our celebrations have a wonderful day enjoy the longest day of the year.

Busy day today my older kids started their job for the next 5 days of farm sitting so there is a lot of coming and going. My middle daughter finished her exams today's and that is good. My middle son is finished school now because of his hives he won't be going back so we went to collect his stuff. This leaves the youngest two they are in school until next Thursday it will be hard for them to focus and stay in school. In between running today I have been working in the front yard it is coming along I hope the work holds up only time will tell. I have been working on my felting project in the evenings it is fun but I find it is not something to take along and work on to many little pieces of fibre.
I am joining a 201o Olympic wool challenge I have received my wool and I am ready to craft it is quite exciting. I will talk to you all soon it is amazing how fast the morning arrives.

My middle son came home yesterday with this...

My middle son came home with hives or something today hot rounded welches so we went into to town tonight to try to find some medicine. We have no idea why or what they really are he is suppose to go swimming tomorrow with his school but if they are not gone by the morning he will have to stay home.
I went today to finish up the paper work for my goats so it will be good to get that done and sent away. Also my husband could not go to work today rained out again... hell it is going to be a long summer of no work. So since my husband was not working he came with me to watch our younger son win award at his school.
Last night I made three squares of my felting it is quite fun I stayed up till midnight trying it out. I must run have a good night

I survived the school trip but I honestly can not remember anything so loud imagine a hockey game where your team is winning with a lot of parents cheering, screaming well it was louder all the way down and all the way home. It was so bad my ears were ringing and I still have a head ache. We went to the ocean and saw all kinds of sea life I like to look take picture but not touch. I finished my shawl but the pattern was hard to follow and it is all wrong.
It rained on and off all day today and was fairly cool we needed the rain though.
My last comment I received about the uterus can only be from one of my sisters :) Well I am off to have tea and find my bed.

I am off to Vancouver in the morning with the school we leave the school at 7am and arrive home 9:30pm so that means we will get up at 5am and head in about 6:15am. It should be fun and I hope the kids are all good. Tomorrow is the last day of school for the big kids my oldest daughters very last day of school. CRAZY, UNREAL!!
I am about to start a big project in my front yard it means a lot of lifting shoveling and rocks I am in the planning stages and it will be a good project for Summer, oh ya that is if Summer finds us. Anyways must get ready for morning.

My Husband just looks way to relaxed at the track meet last Friday. He was babysitting the umbrella for his mom.

The last post published too fast I must have hit the wrong button. I am getting a good start on my shawl it seems to be moving along quite well maybe I will get a photo in the next few days. I also hope to get on with my herd transfer next Monday it seems everyone is so busy these days. Well I am very tired have a good night.

Tonight we went to my middle son's band concert it was good but cold the wind was freezing. The weather is just too depressing for words. Today I went to spinning for a couple of hours it was nice to sit and spin I just about forgot how to spin it has been so long since I sat down at my wheel. Tonight I have been catching up on my books and that job sucks I absolutely hate it such a waste of time. Do you ever wonder how much time we waste doing things we hate!

I am now at 2,050 blog visits and 3,492 page views pretty cool. Yesterday was our middle school track meet the weather was absolutely miserable windy cold and to top it off it froze last night our neighbors field had his sprinklers on last night and there was frost where they hit. My mom had a cucumber get touched with frost also. I am finishing up last touches on my bedroom and bathroom they are both finished now. My next job is to go through the hall and go through the boxes of extras stuff...easier said then done.
I really enjoyed the felting class on the weekend I just wish I would get a little time to play with what I learned. It is quite fun easy to do but you must work dainty.
I may be going to Vancouver with my middle son and his school on Friday he wants me to go so I asked his teacher if there was room and she was going to get back to me. I really do not have time but it will be fun to spend time with him. Just think I can knit all the way down and all the way home! We stocked up on snacks for him so he will like that. Anyway I must run take care

Today I took a felting course it was a lot of fun.

There was a lot of beautiful quilts, quilt supplies and some lovely books.

I wish I could quilt, the colours were awesome it made me want to go home and garden. I know what is the connection the colours the flowered fabric...

I am not sure how our yard even got to this point, it is blooming and growing. It amazes me because it has been miserable weather.

Today is Friday actually I am not to sure what happened to Thursday. I guess it was spent separating goats sheep and cutting Angora rabbits wool I did so many I have big blisters on my hand and I am still not finished. I hope to get all done within this weekend or ideal would be this weekend but I doubt it. I am going to a felting course on Sunday so that will take up most of the day. I hope to take photos and I will post some of them if I do.
We are into a very busy time around here but I don't actually know when it is not busy I must make time to deal with my wool that will get done as soon as I catch up on my rabbits. I am desperately trying to stay awake my daughter is coming home from Kamloops and it is dark and late and my oldest son is at a birthday party and is not coming home tonight and my middle son is at a friends house. Why can they all not just stay home!!!!!!!!!

Tonight we separated goats and sheep one more auction trip coming up we will send 9 for sure but I will try to go and pick one more to make ten.
We got so much rain yesterday and last night my husband could not go to work it looks like it is going to be a long summer at least we will not have to worry about getting rich. Our phone rang at 2:55am with the loader-man looking for my husband to tell him not to come to work but he had already left. Three am phone calls not good for my heart.
Most of today was spent working on the computer catching up on books so now to send it off to the book keeper. Slowly I am getting our bathroom finished. Well I am off to have tea have a good night.

We are still waiting on the last Alpaca if she does not have by the end of the week she must not be having my goodness they give us no warning so unlike sheep and goats. Today we fixed fences and dreamed about cows being gone. I am onto painting the bathroom in our room then all that leaves me is the hall but I won't rush that and in the fall I may do the laundry room but I am not sure on that yet.
When I am finished painting I think I will put together a scrap book of my daughter's graduation she is doing one for herself but I thought I would do a smaller one for us. Well I must run have a good night.

Our bedroom is finished it is so clean and pretty.

Today was very warm then we had a storm trying to blow in but it did not amount to anything but cooled it down for awhile. It took me the whole day to weed eat and mow the lawn. At supper time we had 3-4 cows (there was 12 of them) push down are fence at the front of our property it was our best fence 6 feet high of heavy chain link. Oh my goodness I was so made fuming unbelievable mad and thank goodness the goats were up in the top field. If my goats new the fence could come down there would be no holding them and by the way it was also electric. So now tomorrow we have to go and fix fences then to top it off our heifer is in heat and keeps wrecking the fence into the Buck pen. I swear everyone should count there lucky stars that NO ONE TAUGHT ME HOW TO SHOOT, There would be a whole bunch of dead cows right now. When I write about it doesn't seem so bad but at the time it makes us so angry and now it means a day or two of fixing fence. We get one step forward and 100 back.
Even though it was stressful with the cows it was a lovely weekend very warm the kids swam lots both Sat. and Sun. We had three birthday parties to attend or the children did.
I took my two oldest girls to Kamloops on Friday afternoon it was nice we had fun looking in the mall and just hanging out.
I have started to take a little time to knit again it is with the most amazing wool I love it.

This is Norman he belongs to my middle daughter. He is quite the character he loves to eat, eat and eat!
