My last sunset. If you look at the palm tree you can see the wind is blowing very hard.

Look at the poor kid with his face in the water and his bum in the air. Too funny

Can anyone see the leg and foot. Imagine being under that wave. They amaze me I could not do it

I am not sure if I posted this picture but check out the little boy. I love it how he just came out of the wave next to the adult.

Today we went to Kelowna to drive my oldest daughter to see her boyfriend play hockey. However in the mean time we checked out a few stores, stopped for candy, visited the turtles and played at the park. We did not swim in the lake it was not very warm in Kelowna. Every time we go it is cold. We saw the smoke of a forest fire which my oldest son just got a call to head out to it in the morning.
On our travels today we saw two Moose, five deer, one black bear with a long pointed nose he looked quite big also. We saw turtles, one poor turtle squashed on the road, ducks, seagulls and I saw one fish jump. It was an amazing day to see wildlife.
We went to the mall had a look around and a few sports stores. We stopped at the arena to see Jeremy but it was too cold for summer clothes. I actually was cold all day today I should know better and pack pants.
Tomorrow Miss Hyacinth goes to Camp Tula - head for a school trip. She will be back Wednesday. Then we will grab her take her home scrub her up on time for her band concert. Then on Thursday we our going to the high school as Tanisha is winning a school award, so that is very exciting. Well off to finish my tea and get ready for bed. I have been very tired all day today. Have a great night.

The next few pictures are going to be of surfers. I really enjoyed watching them. There was very young children surfing. AHHH how does their Mothers stand it. I had a feeling I was really happy my boys were in BC and not trying to ride those waves.
Today was a busy day. We watered, planted, weeded and sorted goats today. We took the babies off their mom's today so there should be a lot of sniveling for the next little while. Some of the mom's looked okay others were looking run down. Nursing really brings down some of the goats.
Tomorrow we are off to Kelowna. Nana wants to go see Jeremy try out for some hockey. And we hope to have nice weather to go to the lake, park and check out the turtles.

This is how people in Maui watch the fires. It was actually quite close to these house.
Today we made a quick trip to Kamloops to buy some flowers for the yard and some pond fish. I do not need too many flowers but everything is green in my yard not a lot of colour. I have quite a few fish in my pond but I dyed the water blue and it is quite dark. It stops the water turning to green with algae. I still feel something is missing in our front yard. I guess it will never be like a magazine picture.
I have bought some red and white flowers for the bed in the front driveway it should look nice for Canada Day. Tomorrow I think I will work on the front gate. We never plant anything too good as there is always a few stray horses, cows or Llama trying to eat my stuff.
It was quite warm today I am sure it is not helping the big forest fires burning in our province.
Last night I did not sleep at all. I was wide awake finally I just sat up turned on the light and read for nearly three hours.
Well I am off to wash the grime off me and start to make my way to bed. Have a great night.

A grass fire started not very far from homes in Maui. It was at 300 hectors.
We decided to follow the smoke to see what was happening.

A little more of Maui to come. I still have some pictures to share with you . I will post them over the next little while.
Sand gravel and shells make up the beach.
Today was a sad day my little blind goat died. He was just not looking good. It was so sad he struggled his whole life. I am so sick of farming. I am seriously thinking of getting out of it. The fun is so long gone. I will be getting up the courage to do a auction trip. Soon very, very soon.
I have done some major watering and I think I am good for a few days. Man is it dry.
I moved my two little doves over to the front yard for the summer. I love to hear them talk they make a beautiful noise.
I think I will go buy some flowers either tomorrow or this weekend. I have a gift certificate from Christmas that I am going use. So I want to make a list of what I want. So I do not impulse shop. Well it sounds good anyway.
It was so funny we were out of cat food. And our very big cat who is nearly thirty pounds was heart broken. All day he waited in the hall he would run back to his dish. In desperation he tried to eat plastic. It was really, really funny. He thinks for some reason whenever we go to the back he has to go eat.
He had dog food but would not eat it. So I went to town and bought a huge bag. Poor George just scarfed out he ate and ate. I swear if that cat did not eat for a week you would not notice. Not that he is overly fat just huge.
I am quite tired I did not sleep at all last night. So I will say good night .

We went to the Holy Ghost fun day. There were so many cars we could not find anywhere to park. There was an auction, fun games for the kids, some animals in pens for the kids to see. Plus some type of free food.
The church was really pretty. The sad things was the graveyard on the side had a lot of children buried in it.

This is what the cactus look like in Maui imagine that for a house plant

I am home. It is warm hear our forest are drying up. Now go figure my husband can not go back to work as it is too muddy for the skid trials. Yet our forest our at #4 extreme hot dry conditions. If it changes to #5 the bush is shut down for logging. CRAZY!
Our flight home was long. Three planes. Most of it went smooth other than me setting off all the damn alarms and a real nasty Hawaiian lady with a huge chip on her shoulder. I don't think she liked her job too much. Anyways we are home safe.
Now is catch up time. Today was spent mowing front and back lawns, weed eating and watering. That took up the whole day. When I left it was still freezing and no leaves on any of my tree's or just starting. Now I have either full leaf full of bugs or dead trees. Unreal how it has changed in three weeks. Where we do not water it is really brown dry grass.
We are on our count down for school so now this where the kids get really busy. We are in full swing of track meets, band trips, soccer year ends, camping trips...on and on it goes
I still have pictures to show you but I won't have as much time to play on the computer as I did in Maui. I am quite tired tonight so I will sign off. Have a great night.

Well talk to you all soon. See all back in B.C. I will post the rest of the pictures from home. Wish us a safe trip.

We visited the outside of this farm. I guess the ladies son had to fix the hole in the fence and put two surf boards. Then it just snowballed from there. the whole place is lined with surf boards.

Well this is my last post in Maui. I am off home tonight. So not looking forward to three plane rides. Since I heard the plane went down last night with all those people on it. Just for the record you so know when there is trouble on the plane it bounces like a bloody ball shakes you makes your stomach feel sick. OMG I hate flying. I will have to ask the big guy to ride shotgun with me!
I had a great visit in Maui . I love to see my sister. We had so many good visits. It was also nice to get to know her husband. We did have fun.
My favorite thing is the Palm trees. I loved the ocean even though only my ankles had a taste of it. I have no desire to swim with all those creatures. Just for the record I have not been back to the part of the beach I saw the huge spider.
