The most amazing smell was coming from my kitchen . I love the smell of Lavender. I have smelled some lavender in stores that does actually not smell nice.
Every now and then while we are outside you get a warm breeze smelling like Lavender. And it makes you smile and feel relaxed. Then you jumped to your feet race out the door to make sure Lulu is not galloping her gigantic feet through the Lavender field or laying rolling eating the tags.

I have taught my son so well. He gets right into taking pictures. Actually everyone in our family enjoys taking pictures.
As you tell in picture you have to to see a wand...
Posted by Picasa
Here I am trying my luck at making those wands. Dalton is taking the pictures. We could not stop laughing for two minutes

Harvesting the Lavender. Our Lavender is quite small yet as our plants are new. One so has to pick the Lavender early in the cool morning...while the snakes are still sleeping...the slimy rotten little creatures.
This is the Lavender I used to make the wands. You remember the wands I was telling you about the ones I was not so good at.

Tanisha's nails at the lake.
Tonight Savannah is having a sleep over. We just finished doing our nails. Now I am off to bed.
Today there was a very stressful moment in the garden right next to the lavender. It was a nasty snake. OMG I hate snakes. I screamed and the only person who heard me was Sam. One thing about winter no snakes.
I took some pictures today of the Lavender. I tried to make Lavender wands. I realized I am not very good at that. I could not get the weaving of the basket even. I am put it in the same category as Christmas cookie counting, counting goats. Man I hate it when It does not work.
Well I am off to bed have a good night.

Good Evening
This post tonight will have to be a short one as my left arm is killing me. I hurt it on the first load of hay now it is unbelievable painful. I went and bought two different braces for it that soaked me for 26.99 and 12.00. And I am not even sure if they are working. Right now I am loving my affair with Ben Gay! I even think he is slacking...
Today we ran to town for groceries for our trip to Vancouver plus we needed to pick up chick starter. We also added ten Muscovy ducks to our barn yard. They are very cute but quite scared.
While we were in extra foods Sam my eleven year old was full of piss and vinegar. He went to get a gallon of milk. Well he swung it danced with it moved it back forwards. All was fine until he put it above his head and then found a mirror. Well down went the whole gallon in one bis splash all over the milk isle. We tried to disown him but then I felt sorry for him and so I sent Dalton to him:) We tried to get help cleaning it before someone spun out in it. However no one seemed to concerned so off we popped to pay and leave. I am pretty sure he is on camera.
Then in the bank the kids to their coins in to get changed into cash. Sam had a container like a yogurt one. He went to grab the container his finger hit it and it flew up into the tellers face. I so can't take him out anywhere. Well I am off to check outside it looks like it is storming.

Even though the weather is far from Summer like the kids are enjoying the holidays. My youngest daughter is visiting my sister for a couple of weeks. She has been at the lake boating, swimming, playing and just hanging out. The boys arrived home yesterday also from the lake. Today they slept in until 11am a little dysfunctional but I think they needed it. Now they are outside on the back lawn playing and along side of them the two dogs are playing soccer. Actually Cowboy is having a great game of soccer Lulu I am sure is just in the way. My middle daughter is at her smart step meeting that oldest son is bringing her home from . Jord had five days off we he enjoyed by visiting friends, camping, boating and heading out to the lake. Plus all the boys helped me bring the hay home.
Now I am in full packing mode to head down to the coast for awhile. I am planning our meals so we do not have to eat out. Packing Sam's lunch stuff. I am leaving the hockey gear up to my husband. Sam's goalie bag is so big it is not normal... HUGE...
This afternoon Sam and I picked raspberries. I think I will make jam tomorrow. However not sure I am going to fit it into my day. When we picked the berries my bowl was full same had maybe 3/4 of a cup. He ate them all and did not quit talking for two minutes. I thought berry picking was peaceful NOT HERE. :) he was happy.
My poor husband has to go to work at midnight that so he can try to pull three loads. The mills have it so screwed up where they have to way in then where they have to unload. I truly believe they don't even think of the truckers. I remember when we first bought our truck. I had to talk to one of the bosses at one of the mills in town. His exact words were. We really don't care about the truckers or how the wood gets to the mill. Nice huh! Arrogant jerk.
Well I kind of feel like being creative but I don't know what to make. I am so tired that as soon as my kids get home I am off to bed. Have a wonderful night

It has been a very cool day here. It is amazing how dramatic the weather is. I just want summer our summers are so short.
My younger boys came home today. They seem pretty tired, dirty and lots of laundry. I am not to sure what I accomplished today besides sprinklers and chores. Some days that is all we have time for depending how we are watering.
I am quite tired tonight everyone is in bed already. My poor Sam is on a waiting list at the dentist still no call. He needs it done before he goes to hockey camp. Well I think I will head off

Here is Sam, Lulu and I in the paddle boat. Lulu looking a little dramatic. She eventually tried to jump to the dock and fell in. One of us got very wet...it wasn't Lulu.

The last couple of days have been full of hay. I am done for this summer it is tarped. Our hay is sporting a couple of new expensive tarps. My middle daughter and I tarped it today. We had fun and laughed a lot. Neither one of us was very good on top of the hay stack. Miss Nish has been the one home for a few days. We have had a lot of good laughs.
I have had a splitting headache all day. I seem to get a lot of headaches when I do a bunch of lifting, pulling weeds, moving rocks. It is so bad I think I will go to bed and hope it moves on while I am sleeping. My younger boys should be home tomorrow from the lake. They were having a blast up there. I think they spent most if not all of the one day in the water. What a wonderful summer for them.

Here is a picture of my brothers and sisters. We are really a fun lot. We had a lot of fun this weekend. My sister with the dark hair is who I visited in Maui. It was so great for us all to get together. I learn so much from each of them. We are all so different. I am probably the least fun of the bunch. When I look at the picture I am trying to see if we look alike. We were all together for my oldest brothers 50th birthday.

Here is a picture of all the cousins. It is so great to see them all together. Kind of funny all my kids are the grown up ones. Oh but the short girl with the pink bandanna is the oldest and has two of the younger children in the photo. Which would be my great niece and great nephew. How cool is that!!!

Here is a picture of one of my sisters. Miss Hyacinth is going to spend a couple of weeks (right only a couple of weeks) with her way up in Tumbler Ridge. I am not very good a sharing my kids. Hate it actually. She used to run a fruit stand in town.

This is my beautiful niece. She is training for her first triathlon. I am quite proud of her. I could never do a triathlon I could not swim in a lake. I hate fish.

Dalton and I were partners in the Flower Arrangement contest. It was a lot of fun. Everyone seemed to quite enjoy them self. We had wonderful time visiting with everyone. The weather was awesome. We only went for the day. It was perfect nice drive up and back home. We also arrived home just as it was getting dark.

I just came home from Bridge Lake. It is a good thing I came home and not stay over like everyone wanted. Our fence was taken down, down by the road. And a goat had her head entwined in the fence. Sigh... it never quits around here. I will post more tomorrow. I must shower and get to bed I guess I am on for hay tomorrow. I need to get it done. I really have no help. I do have some wonderful pictures to share with you all though. However it may not be until tomorrow night when I find time.

Today has been a very busy day. I woke early and left for town just after 6:30am. I went into town to take Savannah her birthday presents. She had to work all day from 8am until 9:30pm. It made her really unhappy to work on her birthday.
Today after I came home from taking in birthday presents I came home and Dalton and Sam and I went and brought home 140 bales. I am tired sore and I am going to find my bed. I hurt my knee and my left arm while I was doing hay. With my knee when I was using my knee to lift the bale up into the stack my turned itself backwards it was awful. Then my left arm would feel like when you hit your funny bone every time I lifted or pulled a bale. My left thumb is shooting tooth ache pains down the them into the hand. Not fun when I still have 400 or so more bales to do. I think as soon as my kids head out to Bridge Lake tomorrow I will go for another load. I need to bring all the hay in within the next week as I will be gone the following week.
So my one sister and her family is at Bridge Lake waiting for everyone to show up. My other sister and her husband and my oldest brother and his family arrived today. We met our little nephew for the first time today. He is really lovely.
Well I am off to bed have a great night.

I think Cowboy enjoys getting his picture taken. He is sporting a new bandanna.

He had a fun Canada day. He played with the kids, played soccer, tried to avoid Lulu's new pool. He sits on an angle trying to see the kids at the pool while they are swimming.

Happy Canada Day

Miss Lulu enjoyed her first Canada Day. She ran, played, splashed in her new pool, went on her first walk since her feet were sore, sorted dad's chickens. I really think she had a fun day.
