The kids spent a lot of time up at my brothers skating. It has been quite cold this Holiday. This morning it was past -18. Jordan left this morning. He is on the ferry right now. He just saw a Penguin. That is so cool. I wonder how and where it came from. Poor little guy he must be so lost. Maybe he fell of Santa's sleigh.

George enjoying a quiet moment. He was knackered from tipping over my little Christmas tree all night. Every time I put wood in the tree was tipped.

The two older ones were sleeping. Samuel just being a smart ass. He is a really funny kid. The two junior B players were knackered. Jord had traveled up from Campbell River on three hours sleep.

Christmas officially begins. My oldest son is home. My husband is finished work for a few days. My daughters boyfriend is home. We had a nice family dinner tonight. Then again tomorrow with my Mom and Dad joining us. And, maybe we will set a plate for Santa. However I am sure he is very , very busy. My kids have been going up to my brothers to skate. This is there third time. You would think they would get sick of cold, ice and skates.... oh no that is only me. My oldest son has been sleeping for three hours now. He is knackered. He traveled up on three hours sleep. They caught the six thirty ferry.
I had a very nice quick visit with my sister and her family. No matter how quick it is always nice.
Have a wonderful night. Talk to you all tomorrow.

A walk to the river. Miss Lulu did not want to get her picture taken. This was the day Sam stayed home on the last day of school before the Christmas break. This day was an amazing warm day. It had warmed up to 8 above.

Good Night sweet dreams...

I so can not wait to go to sleep tonight. However it will be awhile yet my kids are outside tobogganing with their Uncle Rob. They have a spot light on. They have been outside all day. I hope this means they will sleep well tonight.

Our new Christmas sheets and border-line tacky duvet cover. Since I could not find gold I decided we will sleep with snow men. My bed is so beautiful in all the lace and white. I did think I need a Christmas look though.

A very Happy Winter Solstice to all of you!
What are each of you going to do on this Wonderful Winter Day?
Us, well we do have a few chores that need to be done. Then we are bringing home a few chickens and peacocks after lunch. Then playing. I would like to get some time to bake. I am thinking a nice Wintery batch of cupcakes would be nice to celebrate with!!!
Holidays are wonderful last night my two younger boys went outside to play in the snow. They just do not have time for that with hockey and and on school nights.
So let the celebrations begin...

Today we had a day in Kamloops. For some reason it just tired us out. Miss Hyacinth and I were just knackered. I bought some new sheets for my bed. I really was looking for a Gold set but I could not find any...so I had to settle for some very awesome snowmen sheets. And, with a very bright satin type of duvet cover in a wonderful Christmasy blue. Miss Hyacinth and I did have trouble because we wanted everything for ourselves. The fog was so thick in Kamloops but it cleared up beautifully up top. Plus the roads were very good. Tomorrow we are going to clean the house, do laundry, and then clean the chicken house. So I hope all our cleaning chores will be all done for the week. We have one more hockey game on the twenty second then all done until after Christmas. Well I am off to head to bed have a wonderful night.
