This was the trip my husband took with the kids to find our tree. Miss Hyacinth was the photographer. She did quite a good job.

After a long time they found a tree they all agreed on.

Today I stayed home baked cookies had a Christmas movie going in the back ground. Wrapped some presents and that pretty much was the day. It is amazing how fast the days go by. I cooked a roast that was really nice. We made rice instead of Potatoes only because I ran out of time. I am so tired. This cold weather is making me sleepy too many trips at night to the fire. I won't write long I am off to make chocolates with my Mom. I will take some pictures to show you all.

This is a kit I had bought while I was in Campbell River. It is an address book. The kit is by Amy Butler it was quite fun to make.

He is home. Thank goodness he is safe. He traveled some very bad roads to get here. In Campbell River they actually shut the schools today. He left at around 9am and arrived in town at 8:30 then add the trip home twelve hours. We watched the web cams for the highways all day, read emails from BC Ferries and watched the sky. I am so happy at this moment all my kids are home!!!
Tonight we were at a band concert they were really good quite amazing they have been playing since the middle of September.

Baby Girls

Here is Candy and Star. Look at the difference in those ears! They are really cute. The big ears is Lavender's baby she was the one who died.
I am absolutely knackered I had to get up five times between 1am and 4:30am to keep the fire going. My last two days have been constant running. After tomorrow I hope it will slow down we have a late night of hockey and a band concert. Tonight was a avid school dinner and a concert. We did not go to the concert though my youngest son did not want to go. First of all they were not doing Christmas songs. Then they were using the black light and it hurts his eyes and gives him headaches. I was making him go but both my Mom and Husband said don't make him if he does not want to go. So he stayed home just as well my husband had another break down on his truck and did not come in until nearly 8pm. I also had to go back to town to pick my two girls from the school dinner.
Well I must run. I want to make sure the wood box is full. Nothing worse than having to go outside in the middle of the to find wood.

Star Christmas

We sparkled up these little star fish that we bought. They look so cute and did you know they still had a smell when I opened them up.

We decorated this very fun tree with shells, star fish, Drift wood, sand dollars and and natural pieces of nature.

The day flew by today I have been up since 4am. The weather is so cold I put wood in and then worried about our pipes and my kids in the back. I was shivering when I put the wood in wood stove it actually hurt my back so bad I could not go back to sleep. I must of just pulled something it hurt but I could still carry hay, wood and water. It has eased up now. I drove my daughter into work for ten after we did chores. Chores area a lot harder in these type of temperatures. I then had a dentist app. I was in there for quite awhile for a cleaning. My teeth hurt so bad they had to freeze them to clean them. I am sure that is not normal. Then came home had lunch did laundry loaded wood and headed into town again to pick up my daughter from work and the kids from school.
We then came home and everyone had a job. The jobs were carrying firewood, check the animals, feed and water the dogs, dish washer, cleaned bathroom, totally cleaned the fridge, laundry fold and wash, clean pellet stove, vacuum, find extra blankets for all the beds, clean up after puppies, bake cookies and start working on books. Then my husband came home and put a winter weather striping on our back door. I am sure this will help in keeping the kids warm. Then after supper the kids carried presents over to my mom and dads. Then the kids and my daughters boy friend went out to start the skating rink.

I'mmmmmm Back

Oh yeah Happy Day I am back with photo's. Oh my gosh total picture withdrawal but here we go brace yourself. And Glen here come my Christmas pictures... Total torture when my brother in Texas asked for photo's from all of us. No won sent any pictures so now I can . I will add to all my siblings you suck at photo's!!!!!
This lovely Peacock has since died a silent death. Sparkle the little kittens who was once so cute knocked the tree down and joined the puppies in chewing it to bits.

A very fat happy family. You can not help but smile and there silly faces. They look quite pleased with them selves.
Last night everyone returned home quite late so the kids did not get to bed until 10:30pm. We have manged to keep our house quite warm however not too much sleep with getting up all night to fill the fire. I will go now and see if they moved my photo's. They were going to move them to a separate file. I will then back them up and then delete!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A very Wintry hello. Winter has found us and it is cold. I hope you are all warm. I won't be going to far a field until it warms up. I need to keep the fire going. However the next week is incredibly busy. We have regular hockey and practices. But, add in singing concerts, band concerts, baking for schools, avid school dinners, hockey tournaments and not to mention regular Christmas preparations.

Today has not gone as planned but it is working out. It all started yesterday when my husband was delayed several hours getting out of the bush as a truck went in the ditch ahead of him. So anyone loaded behind me him could not dump. However the mill opened for them to unload this morning. That put us behind this morning for hockey so we had to juggle pull in favors to get our kids to hockey. We have Kamloops, Penticiton and Logan Lake and home today for hockey. My husband switched vehicles at the arena and my purse with money and driving license is over two hours away in the van. I just came home instead of doing my planned stuff in town. So we still have two birthday parties to deal with today. Me I am just staying home now keeping the fires going. On a good note my husband is picking up the computer. I have had total Picture withdrawal. 

Yesterday I drove the truck into town to pick up my daughter from work. I also had wanted to get some pellets for our pellet stove in case this cold spells last. I bought a ton of pellets this will be our second ton. In the midst of this we heard a funny noise from our truck and looked back to see our tire blowing bubbles. So we figured that can't be good tried to phone my husband but he was dealing with being behind the truck in the ditch. I could not get hold of my dad. So we just took it to the tire shop and they said yes but a 45 minute wait. That meant trying to get hold of home so Dad could pick up the kids from the bus. However when I told them my phone number and they figured out who my husband was I only had a ten minute wait. See the bonus of having paid them six thousands dollars and owning 30 tires on one rig:) 

Well I am off to make something maybe a garland before I head outside. With any luck photo's soon!

Most of you must know the Movie Ground hog day where everything keeps repeating. Well that is what this Apple computer is like when I try to use yahoo. Every time I go to it is the same page and the same stories. I have decide I wonder if Computer technology is worth it. We come to depend on it all so much then it doesn't work and we are lost.

I am waiting for my girls to get home. I am watching the sky it is suppose to snow. If it starts to snow in the next 20 minutes I will head into town and pick them up. My middle daughter is at the formal dance and it ends at 10pm. I had to do hockey my husband was going to go but he was really tired. And midnight comes real soon!

So after I finish writing to all of you I will tidy my "studio"I was making my daughters mask for her dance and it is in a terrible mess. Sparkles, feathers everywhere. Then tomorrow I hope to get the center pieces done for my middle daughters school dinner. 

. Are you all ready for Christmas? Is the  holiday spirit creeping? Make the most of it enjoy every minute of it. Even if things are tight don't stress count your blessings. Be with family enjoy your kids, pets. Go for walks get outside and enjoy nature. Make a difference to something that is special to your heart. Well I am off to tidy. Talk to you all soon

I am very cold and I only think it is because I heard several times tonight that it is to get down to -20!!!! Now that is awful. Do you know how hard it is to keep the house warm with only wood heat. I wonder how long it will last? If it last too long I will have to buy propane. We need to keep our pipes from freezing.

Absolutely no snow. I love it for driving but it is just weird. -20 is just too cold for my animals especially when they are not too bright about using their shelters.

Today my middle son had a tooth pulled it was rather grouse. They told him to bring it home and show us Yuck. I never would make a dentist. Today I wrapped presents most of the day. I am winning. I hope to finish most of it tomorrow. However I am not even with my gifts.

Tomorrow is my husband birthday so while I was in town tonight at hockey I went to the grocery store and bought him some fun lunch stuff. Beef Jerky, diet Pepsi, ham and Swiss sandwich, cheese cake, chocolate bar and some other stuff. 

No word on the computer yet. I bet it is taking so long because the staff are admiring my 20,000 plus photos...

Just a quick post to touch base. Today was spent wrapping, hockey and book keeping. Tomorrow I am checking in on my computer. I do hope it will be ready on the weekend. It was very windy here today In wonder how are winter will end up right now it is pretty mild. I want to thank all of you who leave messages. Today it has been so foggy, crazy foggy all day. I was suppose to go to hockey tonight but I did not want to face the fog. I drove twice to town today. The last time I was to pick up Miss Hyacinth she was going to join basketball. I made arrangements for my Dad to go to the bus and I drove into town. I was in town she was home she had changed her mind...Why not. While I was in town I had a large box to mail a 20 lbs box but they would not take it. They would not take the box because it had a picture on it. The box has to be blank...so we hauled it back bought brown paper and tape to start again.
Well I must run and find a few kids to send to bed. Have a good night.

I'm getting ready to hit the hay. It has been a long weekend but on the same note a good one. Our weekends sure do go fast and we do fit a lot into them. Tonight we put up our tree not too much help but we did get it done. I guess we all have our part in it. I need to vacuum in the morning put out boxes and tidy up the house. It will all have to wait as we have the dentist at ten am. Then back to town as Miss Hyacinth wants to join basketball and we need that like a hole in the head. It rained so heavy tonight but up higher where my husband took the kids to get the tree it was snow. Real heavy snow! I sent the camera and some very fun pictures came back. However you all will have to wait until my computer comes home. Well I must run I need to somehow track down an address to mail off some yarn. With all these computers and I can not get into the Yahoo program to track down the address I need.

1014 post have been made to this blog. Pretty cool isn't it. I still can not post any photo's but soon I hope. I know my family enjoys pictures of all our happenings.

Jord is back playing hockey. He was quite happy with an assist and a goal. Not bad, after being out for so many weeks. He will be home soon 

We spent the day mainly in town. We had two hockey games plus a little Christmas shopping and groceries. Then we came home warmed up our house it was a bit cool with no fire all day.

We went in the hot tub tonight. First time in a year for me. It does not seem to be working right we need 4 - 6 new jets and it seems we will need a new motor. I can't imagine that happening for awhile but I might go price it out just to see what it will cost.

I really need to wrap presents but it is not my favorite job. The sooner I get it done the better. I hope to make that my goal this week!!!!! Well I am off I must start on my daughters mask for her dance. Talk to you all soon.

Ahh I am back I have no idea where last nights post went. It totally disappeared can not find it any where. Today was spent watching a volley ball tournament. It was a lot of fun. Sam's team won. They played seven games and won them all to come first in the tournament. Very clever bunch of kids.

Today until about one o clock the roads were quite icy it was raining ice last night. It actually hurt when it landed on us.

For those of you who have kids know how they shot gun everything. they shot gun the front seat, that certain donut or a seat they want to watch TV. Well how do I tell my kids they can not shot gun the wrapping paper...! I bought Christmas wrapping paper and I heard them yell shot gun  to the snow man paper

I hope to get our Christmas tree this weekend we only have hockey in town but unfortunately they way it is timed takes up the whole day. We like to put our tree up on my husbands birthday. It is truly amazing how fast time is going. Before we know it Christmas will be here and gone. It is also hard to believe how we have no snow.

My daughter is working on her avid decorations tonight. Her school dinner is on the 16th of December. She and a girl from school have done quite a bit of planning. It such a thankless job. I am not sure why she agrees to do it. Some people are awesome with the participating other well not so good. I guess it will make her a better person as she gets older. If all else fails she will learn to work with awesome people and others who do everything to make it difficult.

I need to start wrapping my presents soon. I started a few but it is very hard to hide wrapped presents when unwrapped push so well into the closet! Have all of you wrapped your presents?

I have been having troubles find a good box to ship my yarn in. I have one I am going to try. It has to go in the post so I don't want it too big or too heavy. So on that note I am off to count skeins.

I just wrote a great post but this Apple computer did not like it and it has vanished. So I will write tomorrow.

• Hi this is just a quick not to say hi. I am typing on my mini and oh how little it is. Today was a full day dentist at 8am until 9:30 ish then off to Kamloops to buy a Christmas dress a little Christmas shopping. We arrived home at 4:35 grabbed Hya and Dalt flew to hockey we were late. We were to be on the ice at 5:15pm we arrived at that time. Then we stayed at the arena until 9pm and now we are home finishing up homework.

It is getting very cold out tonight so had better set my alarm for three or four to put wood in the fire. No snow yet. Right now our house is warm my dad kept our fire going today so it is quite nice.
Well I must run and help type out some homework.

Good Morning. I am taking my computer for an over haul today. So I won't be able to post pictures for awhile however I should be able to write the post from my other computers. It may take awhile as I hope to get my pictures backed up. Have a wonderful day

It is starting to get cold again. We have been having quite nice weather above freezing . It has dropped to -5 last time I looked. I froze in the arena tonight when it is cold my knees ache so bad it hurts to walk. I am so ready for bed tonight I could not sleep last night I went to bed a 11pm woke up before 1am and I have been up since. So as soon as I finish my tea I am off to find my bed.
Sam is upset first they were not allowed to dress up for Halloween. Now for the Christmas concert they can not sing a Christmas song! He told the principle today that he did not like the song it gave him a headache...oops She told him some kids do not celebrate Christmas so they won't sing a Christmas song. I was thinking about this in my bath tonight earlier he mentioned he needed to wear white gloves so they can be seen with the lights. That had me thinking about the lights. The lights must be giving him head aches. When he was little about three he had shingles and it has triggered off a very sensitive reaction to lights. You will notice he can look quite miserable in photo's from the flash or sunlight. So I will go check it out with the school and see if they are using black lights or strobe lights. Not much I can do about it but it may answer a few questions for us.
Tomorrow we have dentist app.'s starting at 8am and if the weather is good I have to go to Kamloops. Then tomorrow night we have three ice times in a row.

Address my Christmas cards and actually send them out this year
Find our Christmas stockings
Start Christmas baking
Bake for the bus driver
Wrap presents buy a few more presents
Organize my husbands birthday present decide what type of cake to make him
Take computer to Kamloops for an over haul. This week
Catch up on books
Worry about mouse under kitchen cupboard and hope it is still sticking to the mouse trap!!!
Take off halters on boy Alpacas
Ask mom if we are going on a trip in the Spring
Plan when I am next going to visit my son if he stays in Campbell River after Christmas. Actually start talking loudly so my husband can hear I want to go down:)
Buy a Formal dress for my daughter
Clean up our movies
Package up my wool I have sold and send it out
All of this has to be done within the next week
