Look at this arm load
Here is Mimzy and three of his daughters. Mimzy is white, next with the big ears is Star ( lavender's baby). Then we have Candy and at the end is Roxy. Roxy's name used to be Paris. She is quite the handful. Roxy comes to visit quite often. Then they all go crazy.
During the day it is warming up quite nicely. The sun was shining and it felt like spring. I do think it is a little colder than spring but wonderful for a walk.
I went to town to pick up my daughter from work for eleven thirty. While I was in town I did some banking and a little running around. I was already to go to hockey but when Sam climbed off the bus he was as white as a ghost. Absolutely no colour so he stayed home had a bath and rested. I have been working on some things in my studio. I only have about 45 minutes maybe an hour if I am lucky. However that time is still good. I feel like getting boxes and throwing out stuff I think we need to eliminate stuff. Maybe I will give Nan that job she loves to throw things out. Well I am off to get kids to bed have a great night!

Birthday dinner
Today I drove my daughter to work. I brought Mimzy to town with me. We went to the park with the walking trail and did two full laps around. I think it is 2 1/2 km. Mimzy did awesome he was so proud of himself. Mimzy is my daughter Chihuahua who is on a New Years weight loss program.... he is a little over weight and since is a father to 6 he needs to look good. And you know how neutering is puts weight right on you. He was so happy with himself he fell asleep on my purse right beside me all the way home.
I have caught up on all my books. It is such a good feeling. It was not even in my plans but I did it.
I worked in my studio for about an hour today. Wrote some thank you cards worked a bit on my Christmas book and started to think about my hand print journal. I had great inspiration on a little box my friend gave me. I am going to make a memory box with our sand and shells from our holiday. Now I think I will head of to bed. Have a pleasant night.

Today when we left for Kamloops it was quite a nice day. On our way home it was snowing slush roads. I did hear it was a lot worse behind us. We only had a couple of hours over there. I did pick up my winnings two classes of yoga. I met my friend and her husband and we had a quick visit. When I arrived in town I met my son and we went and bought a new box spring and mattress. Then came home I cleaned up the house plus my studio and he cleaned his room. Everyone else was at the arena watching Miss Hyacinth be goalie. I am off right now I can not get to the back part of the house as Jord has done his room!!!!

We had a hockey game late afternoon until early evening. Some of us came home my husband stayed then went to watch my oldest daughter play.
Today I went for a long walk 6.4 km. even though I was warm it gave him such a chill when I came home. I could not warm up. Today my cat died. I am not sure but I think the dogs may have got to him. Poor guy when I picked him up he cried a very sad hurt cry.It has been a horrible winter here for animals. In the mornings you totally have to brace yourself for what you will find.
I have sold 7 more pairs of socks. I think that brings the total up to at least 24-25 I have sold.
My son has gone off to Sicamose to watch a hockey game and to visit a girl. He has arrived safely but he tells me he is coming home tonight. So another night of no sleep. My youngest daughter is having a sleep over with my oldest daughter my oldest daughter's boyfriends at his mother's home. She wants to watch a movie pg13. I had said no but then I changed my mind she can watch it if she watches it with Nana.

Today we had a crazy rain storm. It was fairly warm I had both fires off today. I opened back door and front door to let the air come through. Then I emptied the ashes and cleaned out the pellet stove. I shoveled any snow left on the deck so now it is nice and clean. Our traffic is still pretty heavy as I think the highways are still closed. I imagine it will be very icy tomorrow as all this freezes now.
My fax machine has given up not too sure why but I will post a photo later. It is a terrible mess. For some reason the copy paper is sticking to the picture trying to come through very weird.
I am off to have an early night.

Concentration
The weather has warmed up to ten above today. Amazing how warm it is. The roof is dripping snow melting. The highways closed from mud slides, avalanche warnings. That make all the traffic come onto our road. It was so busy. We went into town did some banking, went for a walk, grocery shopped and came home. We had a quick meal then off to hockey. I was able to come home after the first ice time as my oldest son said he would bring home the other two. Well I may write more in the morning but I am off to bed. Have a pleasant night.

More home pictures
A lovely collection from my Mom
Beautiful clock
Today we took our oldest daughter to Kamloops to have her wisdom teeth looked at. She has an appointment on February 3. We want to get them done as soon as possible while she is still on our dental. We will not know for three weeks what they will cover. For some reason we did not even think it would cost the actual cost is 1536.00 plus we had to pay 169.00 cash today.
We had a slower trip over roads were not too bad but Kamloops was snowy. I am so glad I was not driving . My husband came home early and drove us.
Our daughter decided she needed to go to Lu Lu lemon it is a holiday pop up store that is only there for five more days. We bought a couple of things. We put our name in a draw. When we were home I ran a bath and hoped in. Right then I guess the phone rang it was Lu Lu lemon saying that I had won the draw. Nothing like getting busted for shopping I won a two class yoga class in Kamloops. I have five days to pick it up. I ave no idea when and how I will get back there. I have no idea how I will take two Yoga classes an hour and half away!
You know I did have an itchy hand today and I told everyone I was going to win some money. I guess winning two yoga classes count. Well I am off. Talk to you all soon

Play fighting
Here are the kids skating on our ice rink. I think everyone should have an ice rink it is a wonderful baby sitter. The kids love it. all we need is a Zamboni ( not sure on the spelling did you know it is not in my dictionary)
The kids defiantly had their share of outside fun this holiday. They skated and tobogganed so much.
Today we were up at 4:30 as we had a hockey game in Revelstoke 4 hours away. Only my husband and two sons went today.
Something funny. My husband was trying to tell Sam a few pointers about him being a goalie ( he really never tries to tell them to many pointers to the kids because he used to hate it when his dad would tell him what to do all the time) Anyway while he was talking to Sam. Sam forgot and phoned me at home from his cell while he was suppose to be given some pointers. Needless to say we do not have NHL dreamers or at least not yet. I thought that was so funny. My poor husband no one listens to him:) Well I should run I have to be at the dentist by 9:45am tomorrow and we are back to school. Which reminds me my youngest daughter asked me today if I would home school her. Not going to happen! Nope I am not a teacher. It did make me worry why she asked this. I thought she was enjoying school. The middle school is quite different it is grades seven and eight. Nothing really wrong with it. My kids just seem to coast through it not too much comes out of it. So I will have to watch maybe she is just nervous about going back after the Christmas break.

The weather has turned cold again. Very strange winter so far.
Today I went for a walk when it had warmed up. I listened to some awesome songs on my Ipod and took some Wintry photo's. I will upload those tomorrow. I am quite tired I woke up at 2am and could not sleep after that. So I hopped out of bed made tea and read magazines. Today we cleaned a lot the house was so nice by this evening I hope it lasts. I am kind of scared to go check my boys room. I may head in there tomorrow. Maybe!
Today while I was feeding the animals they were so cold looking. The goats little lets were shaking while they ate. I spread the hay around the barn yard to get them moving. I find if I just put the hay in the feeder they won't move around. Tomorrow I am spreading it even farther to get them really moving around.
I am starting a journal of my family using their hand prints or a tracing of their hands. Now I just have to get my family to cooperate and send me traces of their hand. I will keep you posted on my progress. I am also working on a Christmas journal. No photos of us just nice papers, ribbons, buttons. I will show you when it is done. Have a great sleep

Learning to ski
He actually was doing okay
Until this...
He did not break anything
Today we left quite early to go to Kamloops. Usually when we go we are rushing and can only go to a couple of stores. Today we had the whole day. We left just after 8am and returned home at 7pm. We looked in a lot of stores diddle - daddled and no rush. The roads were quite good we did not rush just took our time. On our way home we dropped our middle daughter off at the hockey game and Jord will bring her home. It was so busy in Kamloops the line ups were crazy in some stores the line up was so bad we just put our buying's back. It was not worth the line up.
When were driving over I had said I would love to see a Moose today and not two seconds later there was a beautiful big Bull moose standing under a tree. They are really lovely animals. As soon as my kids get home from the hockey game I am off to bed. Our truck has to be in Kamloops by 9am and we have a hockey game in Chase ( one and half hours or one and forty five minutes away at 1:30pm. Our Vehicles are having issues the truck keeps stalling and Betsy our van is spitting up Anti freeze she would be the one that just had to have a new fuel pump last month. Sigh ... I wish we had a new one. Well I am off have a good night enjoy the weekend before school goes back in.

This amazing little piece of wood is all pitch (not too sure if that is the correct spelling) I use it to start my fire. It starts a fire so fast and you don't need any newspaper.
This afternoon we joined my Mom and Dad, Sister In law for a nice New Years Day meal at my Mother In laws. We had a very nice visit and it was early enough we could come home and the kids could skate. Tomorrow we are off to Kamloops to go look around the stores. The kids received some gift cards and would like to check out the sales.
I hope 2009 is a wonderful year for everyone.
I hope each and everyone of you is healthy and Safe and our New Year gives us all hope and Peace.

waiting waiting waiting
I am waiting for this boy to get home. He left at 4:15am in a swirling, blowing snow storm. He went all the way up to Rogers Pass to Golden for work today. He phoned me at 5pm they were filling up with gas in Revelstoke. Oh the waiting... I hate waiting. He is only fourteen.
My husband has gone into town to pick up his logging truck. He left it at the mill until the roads froze. He washed it as it is to be inspected on Saturday so it needs as little mud and snow as possible. When he washed the truck he weighed it before and after. After chiseling snow, mud and ice for over three and half hours it took off 4,ooo pounds of weight. Is that not amazing!
We have quite a bit of snow here now. We have some great snow piles for the kids to play on. The ice is clear just no kids to play on it. My two younger kids had a sleep over last night then went out to toboggan for the day. They still are not home. Sam phoned and wanted another sleep over I usually say yes . But now I just want them all home.
I hope you are all having a nice New Years Eve. Let it be safe and fun. I will talk to you all tomorrow.

Who is he fooling! This is Christmas eve I think the excitement was just too much. He does read mainly at night before bed but none of my kids are die heart readers.
Looking quite pretty in her new out fit.
Here he is wearing Grandpa's pants. It always amazes me how clean they can look.
Today we starting cleaning our rooms, sorting, moving things. It seems to be an on going thing. How do people keep there houses spotless all the time. I need a maid!!!!!!when I said I do I am sure I was saying I do need a maid. That was twenty years ago and she still has not shown up. My house can go from wonderful to disaster in one evening. In our room I changed our bed I did not like the gold Actually I did like it it just was not me. I like our room it is quite white with some pink thrown in . I just worry my husband will come in with grease on him. It amazes my how clean all the white stays as I usually have a revolving door through our room. I have been trying to make a CD all evening. I bought lot of songs through I tunes over the Christmas break. People make is sound so easy I have been trying for ages and I can not figure it out. No point in asking my husband he doesn't know much about computers so I guess I will keep at it. My middle son is going to work tomorrow he is going to be picked up at the bottom of the driveway at 4:15am. So I absolutely must not sleep in. He will be working the full day until 6pm . I will totally be tuning it out he will be on a very bad road, a lot of winter driving to Revelstoke.
Well I must run and try to figure out this CD. Have a wonderful evening.
