Well I've looked in every photo gallery I can find on the Internet that has to do with the Kelowna fires. Every Gallery and not one picture of my son... It is kind of rude when he is out there working so hard. No but seriously I did look at every picture joined Face book groups on the fires just in case I could see him. Pathetic maybe but it is my right as Mom. Mom's have permission or should to do these things. I really do not think anyone quite gets the connection a Mom has to her children No matter what their age it never ever leaves.
Today was very warm here. It is wonderful weather however we could use some rain it is very, very dry.
I have put a lot of photo's into albums nothing fancy just the slip cover ones. I figure it is better to have them like that than in boxes. I am really quite pleased with the amount done. My Mom asked why I am doing so many books of photo's. Again it is a Mom thing if I do not do it who will. Then when I die (that is a bit dramatic) my kids will have wonderful memories along with pictures. And in turn with me keeping pictures it is teaching my kids who will do the same when they have children. Once the moment has past it is too late we missed it.
My poor husband is tired and early shift just started and work is not going smooth, loaders breaking down, sitting in the mill for hours, sitting out at the landing for many, many hours, truck with air leak...
On Sat. we have to go to Prince George to pick up Miss Hyacinth I think it is an eight hour drive one way we will go there and back in one day. Then on Sunday I am off to a Lavender Farm with my friend. We have not finalized our plan but I am sure we will have fun.
Well I must go find a fan my tea is making me disgustingly hot and I am off to cool off.
SUNFLOWER FARM is nestled in the Interior of the Beautiful Province British Columbia. We would like to share our stories with family and friends our life on a 40 acre farm, school, hockey, knitting, Friends and fibre. Come join us on this Wonderful trip through life.

Don't you just love these guys. They were so clever to all line in a row.
It has been nice and warm the last couple of days. It suppose to be warmer tomorrow. Good for me but not good for our forests. I just talked to Jordan he is fine. He is camped at a school. It is hard to talk to him as he cuts in and out. I am not sure on that phone the storm I don't think it is all that good.
Today we opened the gates to all our different ducks let them eat grass all day and mix. We want to keep them all together so it is easier to give water and less chores. Tonight is the first time they will spend the night in one area. I need a plan by fall. I hate to loose them to the bobcats Maybe a steel cage bobcat and bear proof.
Today I baked shortbread cookies not a good thing to do as I could eat them all.
I am nursing some pretty bad blisters on my hands from yard work. They do not really hurt but I don't want them to open then they will hurt.
Allan is on early shift he has to go at 11pm. Our whole time feels like night time we are quiet all the time. All afternoon or evening until late at night as Allan is sleeping. Then in the morning as the kids are sleeping. It is weird when I drove into town this evening and people are walking, bike riding, playing. I always think everyone is being quiet or sleeping because we are.

Not a whole lot new here. Other than I am home now we arrived home about 4:30 pm yesterday. I have been catching up a bit.
We are having forest fires again over here. It is really sad to see people loose their homes. The fires are in Kelowna again. My son was called last night so he headed out first thing this morning. It is hard to watch it on the news knowing he is up there. he was very excited to get the call out though. He enjoys fighting fires and making a difference. I will write more later I am on the phone with Miss Hyacinth.

We are finished our goalie school. Sam did well he enjoyed his self. He worked hard, played hard and made new Friends. One of the older boys said add me to face book when you get it. Ummm Sam is only eleven a little while until he gets Face book.
We met some nice people the arena was very busy today little figure skaters, Lacrosse tournament a team from Merritt was there. Where I hear there was a few of the Merritt parents performing...
We are off home tomorrow it has been a good week but it is time to go home.
We have to check out a mountain board / dirt board that Sam has been holding out for. So I am sending his dad off to look in the morning.
Today was a nice day really warm. I guess they had to turn up the temperature to keep the ice cool because it was freezing in the arena.
Ok off to find supper

Crazy Vancouver Driving
A long day at the rink but tomorrow is our last one. It was a good week it has gone well. The driving on the way back to my brother in laws was scary, horrible, at a stand still. Have any of you ever watched people drive they are stupid. That is all you can call them. One lady was driving and had no hands on the wheel moving ahead while holding a paper right up in front of her face reading!! Another lady was playing with her hair that was covering her eyes looking at her friend in the passenger seat while still driving. There many text messaging, talking on cells one lady had her leg up near the window while driving, a semi truck driver had both hands off the wheel eating out of a container as he was still driving... it goes on and on. It actually makes you sick. It is inconsiderate stupid and I have no patients for it. We were nearly hit a few times I could not live here.
Now it is not all bad in the city. Stanley Park is incredible, the malls are awesome and there is LULULEMON. We went to the store three times and one time we just sat down and took it all in to get our fix.
I must get my kids to bed. My poor husband is sound asleep. He is going on two hours sleep. He had to fix the truck last night then go to work. That is as bad as the crazy drivers.

Eight and half hours in an arena...long day.
Two more days of goalie school. Sam is enjoying himself he has made friends. He did want to tell me a boy is selling his hockey pads... they were way too big for him.
We did a quick mall run tonight. Where I was trying to carry four blizzards. Guess what I dropped two of them. I spilled upside down tin roof blizzards all over the Metro town mall right outside Lululemon. Imagine we had a few weird looks!
Blizzards wrong side of the mall dripping by the time the boys had their ice cream it was a slimy mess.
