Waiting for Grain
Today Tanisha comes home from her school trip from PEI. I think she has had a lot of fun. She saw the Atlantic Ocean. She saw the spot where the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean join. Oh how I would love to see that. She saw the place of Ann of Green Gables.
It is a very cold morning here it was past -6. Good for work though.
Yesterday when I went to the mail under all the bills I had a nice surprise. A Key that leads me to another box and inside that box a wonderful gift from Freshisle Fibres www.freshislefibers.com (go check it out)
It is the most amazing yarn, wonderful self striping watermelon. And, oh my goodness it looks just like a watermelon when it is knit up. She carries some incredible yarn and fibre from the sheep of Manitoulin Island. All self dyed. Thank you so much Marian.
My mind is spinning onto my next project. This one involves windows, hinges and wood. Oh and china, grout and sore fingers. No it is not a bird cage at the moment. So I am off to have a productive day. Have a great and wonderful Saturday.

A very funny girl being silly. A side of her we do not see to often. Oh only when she is tormenting her poor Dad who she loves to pieces.
A very cool morning and fresh snow on the ground. However the sun is shining beautiful so bright and clear. I am totally stalling until it warms up outside before I head out.
My daughter phoned me this morning she was visiting a light house and the Atlantic Ocean. I am so excited for her. How amazing. I so need a Light house run!!!
Even though I am quite nervous of the ocean. I love a good fix every now and then. No I do not need to swim in it...No I do not need to lay on a beach... I need to look, find rocks, hold shells see drift wood... Nothing better than having my ipod on on listening to wonderful music.
As I write this I can hear my very beautiful birds, they sound so pretty. Sometimes a beautiful song can be heard.
I asked my husband if we could build another bird cage ( I bet you can guess how that went over)... (how awful is the word NO)
I know I can build it myself. I think I will make another one in a Beach theme this one could be for my canary. Ahh so many ideas so little time.
Oh I do wish you could here the birds .
I feel like I am in the middle of Spring time!! with beautiful trees, green moss, warm sunshine on my face and just plain happiness.

The finches in their new home
Posted by Picasa
Today most of the day was used up by watching a blizzard. We sure are having crazy weather. Chores this morning were very wet and cold. I used most of the day cleaning and working on my bird cage which is all finished. The birds love it they are little finches. However the cats are driving me crazy. They think I have set it all up just for them.
I made a horrible mess while working on the bird cage. It was a job that should have been done outside. I do have a problem with planning my projects too big.

What is your colour Another busy day.
The wind has not quit blowing. It howled all night and has started it again. We gave two of our dogs hair cuts today. It is so hard to do as one of the dogs has a skin dis-order. Plus they wear winter sweaters for at least four months, so they get quite matted.
I woke up early this morning so I finished painting my bird cage. Then this afternoon I started to put the tile on. It is slow going as the glue has to dry. When I have tiled and added china I will take the cage back outside to grout it. I do hope to have it finished soon as my poor little birds are not safe on our house. My cats seem to love them...

Easter Sunday

Today we have been going full speed ahead. Sorting, tagging, de -worming, sorting wool, shearing sheep on and off all day. We are exhausted and I am so in need of my bed. All of it is done and we are all cleaned up.
I like that job to be done and not sitting on my shoulders. I do feel sorry for the sheep they will be so cold tonight. Well have a good night and I really am too tired to type.

Playing while looking for the Easter Bunny. Our tradition has been every year Allan goes for a walk with the kids and looks for Easter Bunny. The amazing thing is every year they miss the Rabbit and he comes and messes my yard. Today we had a turkey dinner. It was quite nice. Savannah and Jeremy brought out the desert. Mom and Dad joined us, there was ten of us for dinner.
Tomorrow the sheep shearer is coming so it is going to be a full busy day.

In this picture you can see how bad the wind was. The weather sure has been a handful lately. Today we made a quick trip to Kamloops bought a few fish for our pond. Picked up shoes for Tanisha. She leaves first thing in the morning. I hate the thought of her leaving but I do hope she has a lot of fun.
Tomorrow we are hoping the Easter Bunny finds us.

I hope you all have a Wonderful Happy Easter. I hope your weather is way warmer than ours. It is bloody cold here, absolutely miserable. Today was a fun day we slept in until 6:50. Then did chores, had a wiener roast, Savannah and Jeremy came out to visit, watched a movie Alvin and the Chipmunks. I made a few more trading cards. I am quite enjoying make those cards. Some do come out really pretty.
Our billets have left that was quite the experience... not too sure about all of that. My daughter leaves Sunday morning. I hope with all my heart she learns from this and has huge, huge manners when she is back East. I am pretty sure she will be awesome. I truly hate the thought she will be gone for Easter. I really hate sharing my kids. Then on top of it my oldest son is away playing hockey. However I know Easter Bunny will find our house. We are so ready for him to visit.
