My oldest son was in his triathlon with two other boys the first boy swam then my son road his bike and then one boy ran and they won. My Son won his race which is very cool his bikes were acting up so bad he was at over $50.00 on tires, tubes and pieces for the tires. Another thing to ad to our list as DONE next trick or treating, school treats.

Soccer Tournament

I love this photo of my youngest son he was just knackered from all his soccer games.
My youngest daughter in her tournament with her face painted like a football player.

Having a quiet moment

They both played real well as did their whole team I had to walk back and forth between two schools so I could watch both of them. The weather was perfect.

My bike rider

My son rode his bike into town the other morning before school and I told him it is way to soon to be dressed like that before Halloween! Way to goofy, He is in a school triathlon on Tuesday.
He played hockey in Sicamous this weekend he had fun he was on second line and he was given a lot of ice time. In Sat. game he got an assist and he is so pumped his name is on the teams web sight with he assist and they won the game. I knew he would do good to get out of town for a weekend now lets hope this positive stuff last.

I am really enjoying spinning this fibre I love the colour.
It is soy silk and wool

When I was spinning this fibre it reminded me of some candy I had seen and when I was in 7-11 the other day taking my oldest son and middle daughter all over town for screamers ( ice cream and slush) when they should have been in school we never did find any but I did find the candy. I am going to ply it with a thin gold thread so we shall see how that turns out.

Today was a very busy, full of walking day the kids did great they played a full day of soccer and we are all knackered well I am the two soccer players are off to a preteen dance. My family is scattered from Revelstoke to Lumby to town tonight. The weather really feels like it is getting colder tonight we have both fireplaces going tonight.
Well have a good night talk to you all soon.
I was to busy to write a post yesterday Miss Hyacinth had her needle at school and she was a bit scared so I went to be with her that is plain torture they take four kids into a room ask their name have a little chat then they have to sit and and wait. It broke my heart for those kids there is another job on my list I don't want!!!!!! After I left the school I came home got my walking Poles and walked down to my neighbor and cleaned from 11:30 until 3:30 walked home flew to the bus brought the kids home then left right away for town to a school student led conference then to hockey, then home and the night flew by. We have another big break down on the Logging truck so we get to stress over that it is not an easy one hard to get parts etc.
Today is the soccer tournament so cross your fingers for nice weather it is usually very cold, then preteen dance tonight the little kids need to dress in orange and black that is easy enough thank goodness no costumes I don't really like Halloween. My oldest daughter is off to Lumby to visit her boy friend but must be home first thing in the morning to head off to hockey. My oldest son is off to Sicamous to play hockey this weekend another long story but I hope it will all be positive this town can suck the life out of a day real fast.
Well must run have a great day and I will check in real soon.

We think the big fat dog in the middle is a bit slow, she really is a love. Her whole aim in life is to be comfy and she thinks the gravel is just there for her benefit to roll on.
I was going to put a post up earlier but I was so mad with hockey I figured it would just be about how much I hate it Rep parents, coaches suck etc, etc, etc so I figured I had better avoid it and not go there and be the better person.
I went on my last Nordic pole walk tonight it was nice I had to totally concentrate on not going fast so I could stay with the group but I am a naturally fast walker. I may join again in the spring but that time of year is really busy. I also went and got my passport picture today horrible picture but at least it is done now to finish the paper work and get my dentist to sign it.

It is the most amazing, beautiful, gorgeous day you can be outside in a t-shirt incredible crazy...I wonder when we will pay for it. I went down to my neighbor today and I am going to clean her hour twice a week then with the money I make I am going to go Christmas shopping with it. She then came up and looked at our horse he is just over a year and is getting an attitude it does not help we are all scared of him. He and I get along great we can cuddle have a kiss I can brush him as long he is one side of the fence and me on the other I am much braver with smaller animals. You ask " Why do we have him " he is my daughters but it turns out she is scared of horses also but he does smell good.
Today my mouth is not nearly as sore and as it turned out I know why I should have kept it I really need it I miss the darn thing but I am sure I can figure out how to eat though:0 Well must run I am extremely hungry but I usually only eat yogurt and granola during the day but we are out and nothing else sounds appealing.

Beautiful Book

This book was gifted to me at the Desert Mesa Retreat from a lady who's friend passed away who had a passion for Fibre & Spinning she also had a wonderful collection of books. The ladies put the books on our tables at lunch and we were able to pick one, this book is so pretty it is a pleasure to read it. Thank you so much and I hope it helps ease the pain in your friends passing to know how much I love my new book.

Hi I changed the settings on my Blog comments so you do not have to put in all those funny letters see if that helps if it ask for you to register with an e-mail that's not me that the blog owner people give it a try and see if it works. I do know once you set it for what ever blog you would like to reply you do not have to do it again. I had put on my blog where you had to add the letters because in my old blog I was getting some very disturbing comments and the final straw was some very rude dogs :) so I chickened out and hit delete on the whole blog. Today is cool it feels like snow is in the air but I am hoping it won't, way to early and my nerves could not handle all my new drivers learning to snow drive.
I am glad you are happy with your Mohair enjoy it and don't save it I am great for saving things then I just pile it up so I am trying to use stuff I buy.
Yesterday at the run there were so many children it is very good how they just get up and run in these hard races it is a lesson just jump in and give it a try I think when we get older we put a lot of things on hold and don't try it or maybe we just come to our senses!

A busy weekend was had by all, my family went in many directions they all enjoyed themselves but it was crazy. I have decided hockey can make one's life stupid everyone means well but it is no life take one 9 year old put him on the ice for an hour and a half which give us 7:30 pm but the coaches then want to talk to them after the practice WHAT THE HELL DID THEY TALK ABOUT ON THE ICE ALL THAT TIME my patience are not in working order so we don't get home until 8:15 get supper, homework, bath. My younger children have not been home until 7:15am this morning there is really something wrong with this picture. Then the older teams want to have meetings on night they don't have hockey so we have to drive in I guess this is why I am not a coach. Don't get me wrong I am thankful for the coaches and volunteers but good lord enough is enough. I have been walking around with a huge headache since early Sunday morning it is driving me nuts and I need to go to sleep.
I did have fun at my spinning retreat it was nice to spin and enjoy working with all our wonderful wool it is my third year and I have gotten to know a lot of the ladies so it was nice to talk to them. There are so many good laughs somethings are really quite funny. We had a lady come and spin and then to our surprise she brought out a beautiful Harp and played lovely music it was a real nice treat. I felt Angels should float out to the sky and make an appearance (we were in a church type place) the food was wonderful. However I did feel like I was in Coquihalla house all I did was play and eat and it's a good thing it is only for 2 days or I would be three hundred pounds.
The cool part of the weekend was I sold some Mohair 55 bags to be exact very, very, cool and I really thank everyone who bought some and I really hope you use it and enjoy it. Well I must go and nurse this horrible headache have a wonderful night talk to all tomorrow.

Cold ,cold so very cold we absolutely froze at my youngest son's soccer game it was a better wind that bit right through you. My son is only grade 4 but he is playing with the older grade 5 & 6 classes at today's game he got the ball kicked very hard right in the face he went down held his face and got up and went again now at home I know he would have cried I saw him wipe his eyes a few times. It broke my heart I totally had to plant my feet right down and not go out to him I hate it when kids think they have to be so tough. I went for a walk today and I was so busy watching for bears I kept tripping over my walking sticks.

Today we went to watch our younger son and daughter run in a cross country run they did quite well. I went to my first class on Urban poling / Nordic walking it was fun you give your whole body a work out. When I came back to the arena but three boys and husband were coming out of the arena and all had cell phones taking pictures... we definitely fit the title rednecks.
