Home again after a whirl wind trip to Campbell river. It was crazy. fun and fast. We made it down in time to watch our son's Friday night game. Then visited Saturday then drove home all day Sunday. Now back to the normal. The roads were very good, clear and not too busy. We were not sure what Vancouver was going to be like but really no difference where we drove. So I do have a few pictures to share with you but right now I am exhausted. I am off to get ready for bed and wait for my son's phone call.

Here is a few photos of my finished bathroom. I don't mind the colour it is clean looking. That is of course if you pretend you do not see the fish food spilt all over the toilet from Sam feeding the fish last nigh. Fish food is so awful and smelly.
I have been finishing up so many projects. Yesterday I used the ball winder and did up a lot of fibre that I had put off. I have the most beautiful jet black, midnight black natural Alpaca. It is so soft. It was spun up in quite a thin yarn. I love it. My black male Alpaca is wonderful. A very gorgeous black and he is quite the character with the most wonderful personality. I don't have a huge amount of yarn but I am thinking of selling it. If anyone is interested you can let me know by comment and leave your email. I won't publish your email on the post. I hope to write more later I am off to a science fair.

Tonight I watched Canada win a gold medal. Very Cool! I also watched Sam be a player in practice. I think he quite enjoyed himself. However I think I could win the gold medal! for the most times having to rip out my Chenille (not sure on that spelling) scarf. Gosh how hard is three stitches... obviously quite hard.
My husband slept all afternoon until 6:30 then he went to hockey then off to work. How backwards is that. Thank goodness he can still haul though. I have been gathering some unfinished projects in my knitting. I hope to either finish them or unravel them and collect the yarn. I am also winding up silk, bamboo on my bobbin winder. However I really should head to bed morning comes so early. Have a wonderful night.

The TV is going in the back ground most of the day. I have finished my bathroom. I like it could be because it is so clean. It will be very short lived but one can dream. I am over half way of finishing my scarf. That is my Olympic knitting. Then the next project is our Olympic scrap book.
My youngest went snow boarding today and his day was quite disappointing. The bindings were not working on his snow board and they would not change them. So he could hardly do it as the board kept falling off. I feel sorry for kids when they are so looking forward to something and it is a let down. He is so tired tonight and has a headache so he stayed home from hockey. It will be an early night for sure.
Last night it froze quite hard -6 this morning but the day was beautiful and sunny. This morning driving to the bus the sky was so blue no clouds were to be seen. The sun was shining on the snowy mountain it was so beautiful. Well I am off to bake some cookies. Have a good night.

Today was spent painting. I am finished I just have to a bit on a trim. So tomorrow I will put the bathroom back and clean it. Then in the afternoon I did some yard work so I could be outside in the sunshine.
I am so tired I have to stay awake until Nisha is home from the hockey game. My poor husband is now on early shift. He can not go any earlier. This is so stressful.
Tonight I worked on my scarf while watching the Olympics.
I need to go to sleep I am so tired and I am tired. I must not sleep in tomorrow I have to have Sam at the school for 7am he is going snow boarding. I hate these days when I have to worry about him all day. Well I am off to call it a day.

School Olympic Projects
Today was an amazing warm day. The day started gray and rainy then opened up to a beautiful sunny warm afternoon sixteen above. So not good for this time of year. I actually could do some weeding in the Lavender. NOT GOOD. I worked out side in the front yard this afternoon pruning, trimming and raking. Then I had the kids move the piles with the wheel barrel. They so were not impressed. For most of the morning I painted the bathroom. I have all the primer on. I so wish someone would do it for me. Well I am off to bed maybe do a bit of knitting. I am knitting a Baktus scarf. It is an Norwegian scarf. Quite fun, easy. Oh but don't worry I can still mess up an easy pattern.

Happy Valentines. I hope you all had a wonderful loving day. Ours was busy as usual. We had a hockey game. Books to do, Bills to pay. Cleaned out side for a bit. Managed to fit a small walk in. It was an amazing 14 above, we had some rain. None of this amazing weather is good for us. I just wish it would stay freezing so we can keep working
And how about our Olympians... are they not doing wonderful!! Yeah Canada...!!!

Sam was the captain for the Germany team. It was very special for him. One of the of our school district people offered for him to wear one of his son's hockey jerseys. It was from a German hockey team where one of his son's played hockey. He was a lucky kid.

My youngest son's school did an amazing wacky Olympics. However there was nothing crazy about the ceremony they put on. The school put on an incredible opening.

We sure did enjoy watching the ceremony. Long but an amazing amount of work went into it.

Today started out a little chilly but still very mild for this time of year. I picked up my kids at lunch time and we headed off to a goat farm. The roads were perfect. The man has fifty babies this year he started kidding out at the beginning of January. I am so jealous this will be the first Spring in twenty years we will have no babies on our farm. How sad is that. I really do hate it. However on the silver lining side. I won't be freezing to death going out every two hours. Staggering from no sleep. I really do feel sorry for myself in the middle of the night. Our barn is quite horrible. Every year I dream of one day redoing it and we never do. It seems to be such a big step. So I guess it is better we have no babies. The only reason we are not having little ones is no boys no bucks and no rams.
The babies were so cute bouncing kicking up their heals. Jumping off their Mom's backs gosh they are so cute. Then they all start to run at full speed like on a race track. We really did enjoy our visit. The cold crept in as we were out in it for about an hour and a half. We all stood in front of the fire place when we came back home. Well it is time to shut the house down for the night. Have a good night

As you can tell we are loving our moment with the Torch.
The flu has been going through our home since the night we came home from visiting the Torch . NOT FUN!
Today I took our truck in to have it's oil changed so while that was happening Savannah and I went for a walk. Not a fast walk just a slower pace walk as neither of us was feeling well. We still did over 5km. Then this afternoon Sam and Dalton and I went for a walk up top with the dogs.
I am pretty sure I am not waking up my husband for work tonight. He is not well.
Our next Olympic project is God's eye's in Canadian colours and Olympic colours. I went outside this afternoon to cut the willows I am going to use. I am also volunteering at my youngest son's school for his outdoor Olympics. Was a great idea until this morning when I actually took the time to think about. I am going to be outside all afternoon....I don't do the cold well.

What an amazing night

The post below is from the Internet. Thank you
OH, CANADA
English Lyrics
Oh, Canada
Our home and native land,
True patriot love
In all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts
We see thee rise,
The true, north, strong, and free.
From far and wide
Oh Canada
We stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land
Glorious and free.
Oh, Canada we stand on guard for thee,
Oh, Canada
we stand on guard for thee.
French Lyrics
O Canada!
Terre de nos aîeux,
Ton front est ceint
de fleurons glorieux!
Car ton bras
sait porter l'épée,
Il sait porter
la croix! Ton histoire
est une épopée,
Des plus brillants exploits.
Et ta valeur,
de foi trempée,
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.
Protégera nos foyers
et nos droits.
