Our weather has not been very nice. It now needs to warm up so our roads dry. It has been a busy week. Not too sure on what has been accomplished. I did start the green house and I may plant some seeds tomorrow and I also planted some peas and sweet peas today.
We are having some trees brought down up top. It is good to have the dead trees removed. It will make us feel safer this summer during the hot weather.
Miss Lulu is so thin I have started to tie her up a bit during the day. She runs and plays all day and does not quit for two minutes. This is the only way I can get her to slow down. If her de worming does not help I think I will have to take her into the vet and see what is up. Man those damn vets soak you their cost is crazy.
Well I am just waiting on my daughter to phone me then it is off to bed for me.

It will be interesting to see how much Lavender has made it this winter. Today is a very nice day. I now hope it warms up and dries the bush roads.

Today my middle boy turned sixteen today. It is amazing how fast the time is going. We had pizza, pop, ice cream cake and strawberry shortcake. We visited with Oma and Grandpa then we went to the top part of our property to see the dead trees coming down with the big machine.

Wow I can not believe I have not posted since Thursday. I thought I only missed one day. That should tell you I have been very busy. Very busy watching soccer in horrible, miserable weather. It was so cold the wind was unreal. Then I worked outside quite a bit. I got my water going in the yard. My dad has the pipes out in the fields so let the watering begin. Weeding also has been done that seems to be never ending. I have not planted my greenhouse as it is still freezing nor have I bought any plants. I so want to go shopping for flowers though. I would like to buy geraniums, Lavender. I would like to plant sweet peas. I am going to grow herbs, tomatoes and maybe pumpkins.
This week I am going to tidy near the gate and the flower bed on the drive way. So I still have a lot of work ahead of me. Well I am off to make sure some young boys are in bed sleeping. Have a good night.

Today for Earth Day I weeded all my garden boxes then weeded one of my Lavender gardens. I can see I did loose some but at the same time some is for sure starting to grow. I managed to set up the soaker hoses in one of the Lavender garden but it is not watering even so I am not too sure what to do about that.
Tomorrow we will spend the afternoon watching soccer. Tanisha is in a tournament so we will spend a good chunk of the day watching her.

Happy Earth Day to you all. What are you going to do today? Our day has been bouncing back to sunshine, gray skis but no rain yet. I am going to head outside after one pm and work around the yard. I always try to stay in at lunch time in case the kids call me. It is a little early to plant things as we could for sure freeze yet. I will go tend to my garden boxes though. Maybe I will plant peas and sweet peas soon.

This is going to be my next project. !!??
Today we did a quick trip to Kamloops we were really not there too long. My daughter just walked around dreaming of things she would like to buy for her home. She was admiring new bed sets, duvet and sheets. I saw some awesome things copper pots and cute garden ornaments. The day was dreary and damp. When I came home and went out to do chores I could here the river rushing by. So Sam and I walked down with Lulu to go check it out. It is swirling, rushing with dark muddy water that very much looked like Chocolate milk.
I am off to bed as soon as my daughter gets home from her soccer trip. She has had so much with soccer, plus her billet girls here for a week and then add her trip back East to PEI It makes me wonder how she is getting any school work done.

I wish I could have brought these guys home

I hate this part. I always feel so sad. Most of the time I do not go. It does not really bother my husband as he does not get attached to the animals. He is usually at work and I do the farming.

Our trip to the auction on Saturday. These two crave McDonald's we can never seem to fill them up anymore. We were up at three am
that kind of takes the fun out of the day. We spend the whole day exhausted as it is a late night the night before. We do not load to quite late in the evening so it is not too hard on the animals. Then we have to drive nearly three hours, unload do the paper work. We let the kids have a look around then continue on our way. This time we took the scenic route and hit every sport store down there....Actually I did not go into the stores I used the time to read. We did drive over a new toll bridge.

What a full day it has been for me. I woke up before Seven am had coffee and then went off to visit Mom and Dad. Then it was out to do chores. The sun was shining so bright this morning it really was quite nice. I stained the front steps then I stained the bridge in the front yard. I then made a table for my project it is drying with white paint right now. I will take a picture tomorrow and post it for you all to see. It is amazing when you put your mind to it what can be achieved.
I am now going to try to point my children in the direction of bed . I hope to have my tea and read for a bit then off to bed. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Trying our luck. Dalton and Sam are seeing if any eggs will hatch. It has been years since we have hatched any eggs. Tomorrow we are off to the auction. Truck is loaded and we should leave before the first light. As for me I will decide in the morning if I will go. It actually depends on my head ... no headache I will go.
Today was an amazing day I actually wore shorts and a summer shirt for several hours but for by four thirty on came warmer clothes.
I had a nice visit with my sister and her son. They came into town for a couple of days. Sigh now they are off to Maui!!! I also had a great visit on the phone with my other sister. I was quite lucky actually both sisters in one day!!! well I should run to bed good night.

Here is Sparkle looking after the little birds. Today was a beautiful day.
I woke up with the most amazing headache. I could not think it made me feel sick. I had to take medicine and it would not go away. I had to tell the kids I was going to lay back in bed and try to get the medicine to kick in. It took over an hour and half. I was sure I was not going to be able to drive the kids to the bus. Even after the head ache left all day I have been feeling the affects of it. It makes my eyes feel like they are burning now.
I did fit in a lovely walk with Nana. It has been a long time we did a 5 km walk. We did not go to fast as I did not want to shake my head.
There was only a half day of school today. I picked the kids up at eleven thirty then came home. I worked on cleaning up my deck. Then I worked on weeding grass out of the gravel and then a bit on my project. Tonight I went out to visit the animals gave then some grass that I picked. They sure do love the fresh grass.
The sheep are taming down and I can even pet a few of the goats now.
Tomorrow evening is loading for the auction. I am not sure who is going yet. I am hoping my sons will go for us.

Today we did a quick trip to Kamloops. Looked for a birthday present. Checked out the pet store. Then we were home it was a fast, fast trip. I am reading a book on Canaries and one on finches. I think I am going to talk to my Mom and get her to raise Canaries. It looks like we would enjoy it. I managed to put my window conservatory together with the help from husband. I had it together but it would not line up, so we had to move some things around. I think it will be cool when I finish it. I would like to add some more decorations. Well I am off to read and have some tea and then call it a night.

Today the weather was dreary, gray and wet. Not good for work. So no work tonight. Sigh ...I hate this. Mixed feelings Allan so needs the break from the horrible hours.
I worked on my project and laundry.
Then after supper I went out to weed my Lavender gardens. I can see my Lavender is coming back. I did loose a few plants though. One of my gardens is so dry that I had to water the plants today. I can not wait until the Lavender is up growing strong with the beautiful mauve flowers blowing gently in the wind. I can smell it all ready. However here, gently blowing in the wind NOT going to happen we have very strong winds.
As soon as I am finished my tea I am off to bed. I am going to sleep on nice fresh clean sheets. I always sleep better in a fresh bed.

Today was a very productive day in a very boring way. The whole day right up until nine pm was books...absolutely... boring books..I so know my calling is not a book keeper. BUT, woohoo I won and I am finished. I am finished until the book keeper emails me with questions to all my mess ups!!!
So tomorrow I plan on working on my project, working out side doing some weeding. Hmmm watch it rain!!

The other day someone left me a comment about my goats. "about waiting to be slaughtered"
I thought I would let you know that...None... of the goats, sheep, Llama, Alpaca, chickens, ducks, Emu, and pig will ever be eaten on my place. So rest easy these guys are here for the long haul.
Sam loved this apple with it's long stem
Today was a busy day. After no sleep. Nish came home after one thirty am with Jordan. We headed to bed at three am after visiting. However neither of us could sleep. She could not because she is still on PEI time. And, me because I am just a lousy sleeper. So on two hours sleep and a full day needless to say we are knackered.
I am starting on my new project so again my kitchen is a horrible mess. I really have to quit working in the house. One day I would love to have a little place to put all my projects into. I have a dream...maybe one day.

For a different dinner. I set out all my old china. I have an amazing collection of wonderful old china plates. Look at the amazing yellow plates. It just calls for Spring. I usually have to keep our tables simple as there is so many of us. Candles in our house not a good think. As older as the kids get I swear they get worse with the candles. Someone is blowing them out every minute.
