A special day

Our pee wee rep boys hockey team had a road hockey game during the opening of our Spirit Square. They had fun meeting the Olympic Mascots. It was a cool windy day but the boys did not even notice. We did not stay for the rest of the ceremony as we made our way to Kamloops later on that evening.
Today most of the kids did not go to hockey. There games were so late if we had gone it would be after ten tonight. Too late as Allan has work at midnight.
It was nice Dalton, Miss Hyacinth and I went for a walk and found branches to decorate down at our gate. We have had no time so it was nice to take a moment and enjoy outside together.

Wow! what a crazy week. I am so sorry I never made a post all week. I have been running in a hundred directions.
First off Tanisha had grad photo's. So that was a day that took extra attention. Then she took her road test on Tuesday and she passed. That was a full day of practicing , driving and many many tries of backing up. We seriously drove the whole day. However it day pay off she passed and did very, very well. For some reason after that day I was wiped, exhausted finished. Very weird feeling. At some point you realize they are on their own and there is nothing else I can do to help. A lot of time is invested in a new driver. I am so thankful she has license now. I can relax a tiny little bit until April then I get to start all over again...gosh tranquilizers are sounding good :)
We have had dryland, hockey every night. My husband is working very horrible hours. I honestly have not seen him at all this week. I think I have talked to him a total of maybe fifteen minutes all week.
Tonight is our Santa Clause parade. We may go but personally I would like to stay home. I think I will take the kids then bring them home. Then I have to be back for 11pm to pick Tanisha up from time keeping.
So at this moment I have to run to Sam's school to pick up his subway I ordered for him. He did not go to school today. Instead he went to Kamloops to visit Jordan.

Today was quite a busy day. I drove my middle daughter in today for her grad pictures. It is hard to believe I will have had three graduates. Man time is flying by.Then I went back to town to get snow tires on. I had my oldest daughter drive me around to do a few errands. We had a very quick walk. Then it was a mad rush to go watch volley ball. We then flew home the kids grabbed a snack then off to hockey. Our weather is hanging in there and that is so good. We do not want any snow down here yet.
My Mama Alpacas and baby seem to be enjoying the barn. I cleaned it out today. I hope to be able to clean it every day. One day slacking can mess it up for the whole winter. It is just like not digging your gates out after the snow fall. No digging means climbing fences and gates all the way to Spring.
Tomorrow is another busy day. I am not allowed to say what we are doing... but I will hint... it involves my learner driver...

I love this picture Hyacinth took. It looks like the leaves were place by choice on the tree.
Today I stayed home. I moved my two momma alpacas and the baby into the barn. I need to dry that baby off. They will not go into any of the shelters I have for them. So in the barn they went.
They can still go outside from while they are in the barn. Their food and water will be inside so they get used to staying in. Not the brightest lot.
We had a bit of a snow storm this morning but it all melted during the day. A full fledged winter is still staying on the out skirts.
My oldest son is home for a day or two which is nice. He went hunting with my brother this morning and now has gone to do some visiting.
Tomorrow I am taking my truck in for snow tires. Will these tires ever quit...
I am hoping to finish my picture I am working on. I just need a bit more time uninterrupted time.
Tomorrow is Grad picture day, then next day driving test
Well I am off. Have a good night.

I am on my way to Armstrong. Sam has a hockey game then Hya has a hockey game. The sun is shining beautifully, 7 degrees a very very nice day. We had a very quick visit with Jordan. I hate how our life is rushing full speed ahead no time to think. I so wanted to visit Jord longer.
Tomorrow I am staying home to farm. I need to movce my Alpaca's in the barn the weather is just way too wet.
We just found out this morning Tanisha can not get her license in our new truck. We do not have snowflakes on our tires. So mad panic, phoning around. Gm has some tires and will squeeeze us in Monday. Will it ever quit. I will be so happy when she get this license. I do hope she gets it soon.
I wish you could see our sunshine, it is amazing out. Well I should run in case I loose cell service. Have a fun weekend.

More rain for most of the day. I wonder what will blow in next. Our power keep going out and in flickers all day long ever since the last long power outage. I am wondering if I should let someone know. We did a little practicing for the driving after school. I will be so glad when she gets her license. Next week if we are lucky.
I have to decide if I am going to go on the road trip for hockey tomorrow. I would but we will get home really late and if the roads are bad...it will make me stress out.
I think I will head off to bed have a good night.

Sparkly fairy play ground
This afternoon and evening it has been raining very hard again. All our snow has melted and now we get to enjoy the mud.
Today was a very nice half day of school for the kids. I had parent teacher interview with my youngest this afternoon. It went well.
Tomorrow is the start of a full weekend of hockey. Non stop full speed ahead.

Oh my God!!! I just watched the most horrible video of a man being arrested. I was so disturbing to watch. I truly hope his Mother never ever decides to watch that. What is happening to our world... I think part of my heart broke watching that. I would hate to be the police, the ambulance or that poor, poor mans family. NO-BODY'S LIFE SHOULD END THAT WAY.
I don't even have an answer. I swear it would kill me if that was my boy. Watching him shout out like that. NO shit he was screaming. I think anyone bleeding from being beat like that would not be normal.
I truly can't tell you how upset I am. His poor family! Never in a million years will they ever get over it. Gosh I hope his Mom does not see it.
I know a lot of bad things happen. That there is a lot of rotten people. However we all must remember they belong to someone. His Mom and Dad love him. Gosh I wish I could erase that and that I had never watched it. Please everyone pray for his Mom and Dad
I am going to have to ban watch I look at in the news. That was not good for me. I can't stop sniveling about it.

It has been raining non stop now. Where was this rain in the hot summer when we needed it. It is crazy but I would sooner have rain than snow.
Not a whole lot new. Just the monotonous life of hockey. Wondering how we are going to fit the next weekend into our life. Then wondering why do we do it...
Today we finally put winter tires on our oldest daughters car. Thank goodness the snow held off until we could mange to do it. Then next is our logging truck then our pick up.
I have started my project. I am not too sure how it will turn out. I need to get a few more photos. I am having a hard time getting my pictures from my back up drive so I can send them either to Walmart or print them myself. I am sure it is quite easy I just do not know how to do it.
I think I will head off to bed have a good night.

One of our favorite moments in the day is to look for the Eagle. Well yesterday did not disappoint us. All around us beauty was shining. The fluffy frost / snow stuck to all the grass weeds and branches. Shining and sparkling away. Just waiting for the fairy's to come and dance and dream.
When I was little I lived on Iron Mountain where the winters were a little more severe. Some mornings I remember dressed in my winter coat. I would go outside and be in awe of the sparkles shining and twinkling just calling to me, to come have a look. Today no matter how grown up I am I still admire, dream and wish to see the fairies. Maybe it is just to escape our busy world for a second. I make my kids look, admire and dream. So they too can enjoy a moment when life is passing them by at a hundred miles a minute.
These Eagles are amazing. This guy was so big and majestic. It never fails to make me smile.

This is just a very quick post as my battery is low. I am waiting outside the arena for the hockey game to finish. I decided to wait here than drive home. Gosh these make for long days. We had a snow storm this evening and I guess the roads were quite bad. I am glad my Sam made it to Enderby before they were to bad.
We have another full weekend of hockey two tournaments this weekend. We won't make it to any of Jords game this time.
I did not get too much started on my project. It is hard to find inspiration. I know what I want to do just can't seem to figure out how to achieve it.
I will write more later my battery is dying. Have a good night

November 11 2009
Today was Miss Lulu's first Remembrance day. The day turned out really beautiful. The sun was shining very, very beautiful. What a wonderful day to remember our soldiers. I am thankful for them. I feel sorry for them and their families. And, I will never ever freely hand over one of my sons or daughters. I will fight it each step of the way.
Every Mother out there I feel your loss, your pain of your child being go so far away. Yet I also feel your pride. You all are amazing Moms to share your children. I would never be so gracious. On the sake of sounding dramatic. I truly think it would kill me and I could not deal with it. I have enough trouble saying goodbye for the day, off to fight a forest fire, off to play hockey, off to live with another family.
We did so much today brought over wood, raked, cleaned, hockey and then I spent the rest of my time in my two younger boys rooms. Oh my goodness could you hear me. Man they are pigs. I am happy to say they are all clean now.
I guess it is obvious I did not get any cool projects done or started just not enough time in a day.
Tomorrow night is picture night for hockey it is a long crazy night. Waiting, waiting then mad rush. Usually we have a big storm on picture night. So lets cross are fingers that there is no storm.
I am off to send kids to bed. Have a wonderful night
ps Thanks for the comment Sally. Glad you like to read the blog

1607 that is number of this post. Amazing really. Sometimes I write on this blog and have absolutely nothing to say. Most of the time it is at night and I am too tired to think.
today turned out to be a wonderful day. The sun was shining it was warm. I washed my truck, cleaned out the duck (oh my goodness they are messy). I had to have Tanisha in at the dentist at 9:15 so while she was having her teeth worked on I ran around and did the jobs I had to do. Then we came home and headed back in for after school time, hockey, pizza fund raisers, trips to Walmart. So now Allan and two kids are at a Centennial game Junior A hockey. Miss Hyacinth is at her oldest sister for a sleep over/ Then that leaves just Dalt and I. He did not want to go to the hockey game.
Tomorrow I am so going to try to sleep in. No work, No school. Oh there is hockey but not until supper time.
I hope I get some time to play and maybe start my project. I guess I will just have to wait and see if I can make time tomorrow

Monday, November 09, 2009

This morning I decided to drive the kids into school. On my way home I saw the mountains above us. The snow looked so pretty white, crisp and cold. I truly was beautiful and as long as that very beautiful white stuff stays way up in the mountains...I will keep loving it.
Tonight it was pouring absolutely down pouring when we came out of the arena.
We have Wednesday off. How wonderful is that. Maybe just maybe we can sleep in. I would like to think we could stay home and do nothing. I bet you that won't happen something will come up. I can guarantee hockey will happen.
I am planning my new project so far it consists of a 24 by 36 inch canvas. A large picture. Now I need inspiration. So on that note I am off to read in bed wait for my husband to get home form his hockey game. Wait for Miss Hyacinth who is coming home with my husband. She was working on a project for school with her friend. Then I will wait for my oldest daughter to phone when she gets off work. This is her first shift back. She has been off work for a whole week while being sick.

Today the flew by. We were so busy with chores, hockey running back and forth to town for hockey. I did not seem to get anything accomplished. The day turned out quite nicely sunny in the afternoon.
I only had the three girls with me for most of today.
I have been keeping mind occupied with planning a project. When I get started and organized I will keep you informed. I am looking for pictures for it. I hope it works out. Half the time my ideas usually do not turnout like I picture them.
I have a full week planned out for me. Right through Monday to Monday everyday booked with something. So I will go to bed we never came home until midnight last night. Have a great night.

Today we have a full day already for us. An amazing amount of hockey we kids in Abbotsford, Kamloops, Summerland, Merritt. Then last night was Abbotsford, Sicamoose, Merritt. Then tomorrow is Kamloops, Abbotsford, Oliver, Merritt. Tanisha is at her second driving lesson. I was unbelievable how much she improved after her first lesson. I was so happy to see that. We do have to smile I bet she argues with the poor guy telling her he is wrong :0
Well I should head out and do chores. Have a great day. Do something amazing!!!

River filling

Yesterday I made a quick walk to the river with Miss Lulu. We could here it rushing from the house. So off we went to explore it. It is a lot higher. I have definitely seen it way....higher. With all our rain then snow in the mountains then melting down it comes. It sure is a shame it all just end up in the ocean. Too bad we could not hold onto the extra water for in the middle of summer when it is hot and dry.

On our walk home we decided to take the small loop home. On the corner of our road where it forks to go up there were two does. I was so in shock I have never seen them there. I was a little concerned that the buck would be with them. Then on top of it I had my camera and did not take a picture. I was too busy admiring them. Miss Lulu was a little nervous and kept liking over her shoulder the whole way home. Some watch dog she is.

It has been raining most of the day. Really, really raining. We were out draining puddles earlier.
Today I had the truck in to get the running boards put on. They make it look quite nice. While they were putting them on I walked up to visit Nana. Nana is still sick. She is spending the night with us tonight.
It is amazing how full our days are but nothing really new happens. I had to get Nan to pick up Nisha from school. She was feeling sick again. I only did a little drive with Nish today. She has another lesson on Saturday. I so hope she gets her license in a few weeks. It will be nice for her. however I don't think we will want our new vehicles at the high school.
I am off to go find my bed. Have a good night.

Wednesday, November 04, 2009

I have been finding the time flying by. I just do not seem to have enough hours in the day. Right now I am so tired I can hardly stay awake. However if I don't write a post before you know it another days goes by... I just came home from the arena. I am so grateful the weather has been staying nice and that white stuff is staying away.
Tomorrow I need to be in town at 8am to have the running boards put on our truck. So I think I will drive the kids in take the truck and then walk up to visit Nana. She has been quite sick but after sleeping her afternoon away she did sound better tonight.
After school today we went driving an appointment has been made for two weeks. So we must fit as much time in practicing as we can.
I think I am going to start working on my 20010 Olympic project. I am feeling inspired. I will write about it as soon as I get time to start.
I really must go to bed as I am absolutely knackered. Have a good night
The Girls were very excited to do the Christmas names.
We do family and cousins (my side of the family) in one draw. Then in another draw my kids pick names to exchange gifts on Christmas Eve.

Today I did a quick trip to Kamloops to get our canopy put on. The roads were clear so it was a good drive. I had my three oldest children with me. All of them were not feeling well and the sniveled all day.
When we came home my husband put on some stickers so we can pick our truck out in the parking lot. They all look the same. With our van there was only her.
The flu is going through my kids. Not really bad just enough to make them feel miserable. I so hope I do not catch it. I really do not have time for it. Oh my goodness if they give it to me I will soak it up for all I can.
We did not do any hockey tonight since Sam had to be picked up from school today. I think he is just not feeling well but no flu yet for him.
I have started a little bit of Christmas shopping. I like it when I get the bulk of it done. Then I can relax and enjoy the holiday season. Girls are so much easier. To find things for boys... they are just plain hard to buy for. Unfortunately shopping for me is never a problem I love everything.
Well I am waiting for my oldest daughter to phone then I really have to go to bed. I am so tired and she is not off until 9:30pm. I don't dare wait in bed and would be asleep in seconds.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween
How was your trick or treating?
I am not much of a Halloween person but the kids do enjoy it. Our power went out in the evening. It seems to go out quite a bit. I think It was the wind and dead trees.

We have had sick kids, a full hockey schedule some nice weather. So over all a pretty nice weekend. I am waiting for Sam to phone me he is still coming into town from hockey. I will drive in when he calls me.
