Beautiful, Beautiful Summer... it was so warm today it was just lovely. I spent a lot of the day watering, catching up on things outside we cleaned the pool. Oh summer is good. I was home all by myself everyone was off to the lake I would go if we were only going to be gone a couple of hours but not all day I rather be home. Tomorrow we are going out to the lake for a dinner then the next day we may go to the fire base to watch my son learn to jump out of a helicopter MAYBE not sure I can watch that. Then all hell breaks loose HAY time. We have two places to get from at the same time sigh when it rains it pours I will stress but I always figure it out.I am guessing we will get between 600 - 800 bales. So on that note I am off to find tea have a wonderful evening.

Last day of school

Winning awards

This is the boy who ran 200 miles since November
One award was a lovely apron each child received for being a lunch monitor.
The last day of school running around pretty much kept our day full. We were so cold today and again the wind did not quit blowing it is not even fun to go outside lately. Tonight I went for my 6.4 km walk the two younger kids had friends out so all is good.

Today was a full day of working out side I seemed to get a lot done. I cleaned , sorted arranged and I am quite happy with my yard. However the wind will not quit howling it has blown for months and it was so cold this morning we put the heat on it the van to go to the school bus. Tomorrow is the last day of school. Thank Goodness!
Today my oldest son went and picked up my youngest two children after school and when he got home with them my youngest boy had bad stomach ache he has been sad all afternoon and evening he slept for 4 hours woke up for a couple then went back to sleep again. Not sure what is up. He brought home his grade 4 swimming lesson papers and he passed and if we were to put him into swimming lessons he would go to level 7. On the paper it Sam you made it look easy!

Graduation

She is off to the middle school this will be my 5th child through the school sigh... I have no say they have to go there
Miss Hyacinth graduates from Grade 6. She is getting to be such a grown up girl her older sister was with her in Kamloops yesterday and helped her shop she bought skinny jeans a little too grown up for me but she does look sweet in them.
To my family look at all her hair...

This is George we are not too sure how he gets up on the very top of our counters. He is a huge heavy cat so it amazes us how graceful he thinks he is.
Today we went to Kamloops for a hearing test all is good no change my youngest daughter will never get the hearing loss she has back but we just have to make sure it does not get any worse. Then they adjust her hearing aid make sure it is all in working order. The appointment is about an hour my daughter is so shy she hardly speaks and she has been going to the same man for 6 years!
It was just going to be her and me but my middle son was up and doing chores by 6:30 so I would let him go with us and I did not have the heart to say no then my oldest daughter also tagged along but my middle daughter did not want to go.
In a few days my oldest daughter will be 19 years old how scary is that. Well off to find something to do. Have a good night.

You have been asking who the cute little puppy is we just borrow the pups. The puppy's in the photo belongs to some friends we did think of getting a girl but we are waiting until I find the perfect one. I will probably get a Border Collie my dog I lost last summer was one but I don't want one to look like her as I will always compare them.
More beautiful scenery

This is a dragon fly that was way out on the dam pond.
Today I worked on the computer most of day I caught up on my books. Then I worked outside for a bit then off to two school meetings. I am so tired tonight I don't know why I get so tired at night but I do. Tomorrow my youngest daughter and I are off to Kamloops for her hearing test we are taking her Uncle Robert so she is very excited. I am counting the last few days until school is over. First day of no school I am sleeping in! Well I hope so I never can sleep in when I want to. Well must run talk to you all soon.

Warmer days

I have being doing a lot of work around my yard and I think I a quite pleased but then I will get a visitor and I think what it must look like through their eyes and I still have so much work to do. It seems never ending I think if I live on a small lot in town my yard then would be perfect... Here I seem to get one step forward a hundred back.
Every year my pond seems different and I am not sure how it happens because I like to think nothing changes.
It is quite surprising how everything has grown up with it being such a cool windy spring it just crept up on me.
Did you know at 4:30 this morning it was very, very light out. Today we were busy I gave my donkey away to a friend it was sad to see him go but he has decided he does not like baby goats and has hurt two and killed one. So I know my friend will give him a good home. I have been trying to sell our horse he is quite lovely but it does us no good we are all nervous of him he needs to go and be a real horse not just a pet but no takers I have even offered him for free and not takers... Tonight I combed two of our dogs hair they were pathetic and did not enjoy it all, I also manged to get one rabbit done in the howling wind. I need to get a few more rabbits done but tomorrow I have two school meetings so I am not sure how much time I will have.

Our very fun day of Summer Solstice

Do you see us here walking we were heading from the other side of the dam we were all looking around exploring then we headed back to my husband and the truck he usually does not join us he has very bad allergies and I think he thinks were nuts on top of it.

I heard some splashing then I heard a rushing fast sound so I looked back and I saw a Mom Moose barreling down the hill side with a calf I thin the baby came first and that made the mom run at full speed. Well I called the kids to look we all watched tried to get a photo but the mom took off at full speed then poor baby could not get out of the water. Finally he made and grunted all the way up the hill calling his mom. Now the on top of that being majorly cool the unreal thing was we had just left that spot all of us with the dogs. Oh my goodness could you imagine if the kids had been over their when Momma Moose came running!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here we are walking down we were up at 22 km it was really neat we quite enjoyed it the boys and I walked down for quite a while but my knees were hurting so bad I had to stop. We found some very fun rocks and the kids really seem to enjoy the time out

We had so much fun checking out nature
My youngest daughter and I were standing next to a small Saskatoon bush when a bird flew out of and we said to each other "did you see that" after a few minutes she looked in the bush and found this perfect little nest with four very beautiful blue eggs in it. It was just an amazing day with what we saw. The blue of the eggs was awesome.
It is hard to tell in this photo but this is a huge bear paw that we followed in the mud. It did make us look over a shoulder a bit.

Our dogs enjoyed the day out scouting around with the boys.
