Our weather is cooling off. However we are still very very dry. Our one neighbor has been burning her big piles of pine needles.
WHY! does she not see how dry we are. Gosh it is hard to believe what goes through peoples heads. We have had no rain that has amounted to anything. We are dry surrounded by dead pine beetle trees...

So many good veggies to harvest. Those beets are gigantic!
Why people burn when it's so dry is beyond me, too. And they always seem to do it when it's a beautiful evening and spoil everyone else's time outdoors.
We had a firebug in our area at our old house, firetrucks up almost every day............then before summer was even over one of the neighbours lit a fire in his front yard that just took off into ours...............what are people thinking?The vegies look great,beet salad,yum.We have 7 strawberries growing, that is the highlight of our veggie patch at the moment.hehe
